Really glad we drafted Udoh over Paul George right about now. Passing on T Mac didn't suck enough the first time so it's just really thrilling to know we did it again

I've had the same thought. One small silver lining: I got the impression that George (coming out of college) was really in need of a stable atmosphere, to keep from turning to the Dark Side of the Force.

I'm not sure that GSW a couple of years ago was that place. He probably would have spent most of his time on the bench watching DWright pump fake people. Most of the folks on the board would have said things like "Wright is our best player on a cheap contract, you can't sit him for some rookie out of Fresno".

On the other hand, "Warriors were too stupid then to use a future All-Star properly" isn't much consolation is it?
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Not sure where this idea comes from that the Warriors won't play young players.

Anyway, in other news, Mike Malone seems to be getting interviewed by every team with a head coaching spot open. He is so outta here. Good on him for getting the promotion, but we are going to need someone to take his place.

I thought the Warriors were a bit of a fluke, but after this MEM-SA series, you guys are a contender next season if Bogut stays healthy and the Lee situation gets figured out

Keith Smart.

Dude had to be prodded to play Udoh, hooked Curry to play Monta 42 a game and benched buried Lin under Acie Law.

No way Smart plays another rookie while trying to eek out wins to keep his job.

Jackson would have given George more of a chance the next year.

Wow....Warriors are looking pretty good after. Spurs up 3-0 on the Griz. One could make an argument that the Warriors are better than the Clips and Griz....perhaps a top 5 team over all.

Anyway...can't wait for next year!

That would be more upsetting is we didn't also have an up and coming 6'8" stud in Harrison Barnes. Paul looks damn good...but Barnes not that far behind and looks farther along in his first year than Paul in his.

It's been a total beatdown as well...Lionel Hollins getting out-coached witha very talented roster, can't say I saw this coming.

Remember though that Paul George grew 2" between his rookie and sophomore season. He's probably got 4" on Barnes now.

I've been thinking about this for quite some time, and I'm not so worried about it.Pete Myers is an important piece to this coaching staff and I think he may have a better feel for these players than Malone does. I'm not trying to knock Malone at all and I'd like him to stay, but I also don't feel like we're in big trouble if he leaves.

Paul George has much better handles than Barnes.

Paul is a better player...bigger. I guess my point is it's not like we don't have a big athletic SF with huge upside who has the potential to be at that level as well. But obviously....Paul was the better big and we missed him.

Could've been much worse. (Xavier Henry)

I think it's funny how for a while it was not drafting Monroe that was *the* huge mistake. Now 3 years later it's George. If it took you 3 years to figure that out, it's not very helpful, is it?

Xavier Henry, now there's a name! I knew way before draft night he would be a bust, just too raw. Like Honeycutt raw.

To be fair, taking things in a vacuum, if the Warriors drafted based on what this board wanted, we'd be looking at a team of Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Henson/Drummond and probably Jae Crowder instead of Draymond. If we go further back, through drafting alone, this board's concensus would've nailed a lot of picks.

Really, it was 100% agreement on these guys? :o

That would actually be an interesting 3-on-3 matchup between Udoh/Klay/Barnes and George/Leonard/Drummond.

Wow putting it this way George/Leonard/Drummond our FO has missed in the past 3 drafts, even though everyone is touting our young guys.
