Don't waste your time reasoning with general board posters when it comes to the Heat. No objectivity. It;s the same with the Clippers and Lakers. I guarantee you if Stevenson did that to Wade this thread would be completely different. Just shake your head and move on.

It was un intentional, therefore it should not result in a suspension.

Additionally, a foul wasn't even called.

Agreed. When you're trying to get through a crowd, It's common practice to use elbows rather than hands these days

Look at the 30 second mark. There is no one to his right, but he chose to go directly into Lance. If there was traffic it might have been inadvertent but you can see he just b lines straight to lance.

I know that when I play ball and I'm running down the court and see someone in front of me, I leap for no reason and throw an elbow just to get by someone.

You're a comical homer.

Dont think you want Haslem going after Psycho T again. Don't remember last year after Pyso T hit Wade, and Haslem clobbered him the VERY NEXT play?

I don't think it was intentional, so no. Was definitely an odd play though so I could understand it if he did especially since he has a history of dirty play.

Intentional or not, it was a completely unnecessary hit to the head. It's not like it happened while he was going for a rebound or by getting a little too carried away playing defense.

It was in the open court and literally served no purpose. I don't know if he will be suspended, but it was dirty.

Well there's a surprise.

If anybody in the NBA does that same play to LeBron, he's suspended. Wade on Lance? Nah, probably not.

Getting through a crowd? I guess, if you define a crowd as two people at mid court with no other player within 10 feet.

OK seriously ... what on earth was Wade thinking? He runs straight at Lance, does this weird bunny hop thing. It was the opposite of a sneaky punch a la Battier, it was like a cartoon assault. There's no way Wade can claim accident. Maybe there is something to the Roid Rage claims, I mean he just lost his mind out there for a moment.

He so clearly could've avoided him. He's always been extremely dirty though. Such a dislikeable player with his flopping and dirty plays. Look at his drama queen reaction to what Hansborough done to him yesterday then look at what he done to Stephenson.

He kicked Sessions in the nuts.
He dislocated Rondo's elbow.
He broke Kobe's nose... in an effing all star game!

He's a coward and a punk.

That's such an odd play. Wade randomly jumps in the air and swings his elbow for no apparent reason. To me that indicates an intentional foul and means it should be at least a fine. If you don't think its intentional than no suspension of course, but it looks clear enough that I might give him a game.

Don't think the league would have the guts to actually suspend him though.

what crowd? There was one guy there, rather than go around him, wade jumped in the air and hit him in the head with his elbow. Had that exact same happened to Wade, he would have collapsed on the spot. Look how hard he fell when he got tapped on the shoulder earlier in the game.

What player jumps in the air 35 feet from the basket for no apparent reason?

He dislocated Rondo's elbow.

Wade is a tough dude and he is real. He isn't one guy I would want to mess with.
He isn't afraid to assert his dominance.

In regards to OP's question.
Wade should not get suspended because it was clearly accidental and plus the actual contact is pretty minor if you watch the replay carefully.
This wasn't like Metta when he clobbered Harden.

People are too sensitive nowadays. Thinking suspensions should fly over some stuff like this.
Back in the day you had guys not afraid to be alittle tough at times and people didn't get suspended over light elbows.

If you don't like this play, than you are not a fan of the nba. Groin kicks, dirty elbows, and bodychecks is what the NBA is all about. I completely agree with the Miami fans, no foul at all.

After watching the video it wasn't the elbow, it was his forearm. Wade his sprinting down the court to pic up his man, Lance is moving towards Wade during a fast break as if he was going to set a screen. Wade expected lance to remain still but he was still moving and got hit while Wade was airborne.

Why was lance running to Wade on a fast break?
