Jose Reyes has taken a significant step in his recovery from a sprained left ankle, running on it for the first time.
"It was a little bit scary for me," Reyes said. "But pain free."
"I just started running a little bit. I'm very happy the way that I performed [Friday]; better than I expected. As I said, I'm going to continue to work the hardest I can to be on the field as soon as possible."
Reyes suffered the injury on a slide in Kansas City on April 12.
