flagrant means intentional or reckless. and i don't think it was either. should've been a foul, of course

I'm not sure that flagrant fouls have to be intentional. However one could easily argue that the play was reckless since it did culminate in an elbow to the head.

Oh yeah he also has had problem in the past getting suspended from games because of fighting with teammates as well as sexually assaulting a girl. Sure people make mistakes and change, but I'm not gonna cry for a person like that, sorry.

Except the outrage isn't at being at the receiving end of a dirty play, it's the fact that a dirty player made a dirty play and got away with it. It could've happened to anybody on the Pacers team. It's the idea that Wade can get away with it, without even so much as a whistle.

No I agree, just stating that the dirty play couldn't of happened to a nicer guy :D

What does "not mentioned on national tv" have to do with anything? Its not like you can't watch the video and make a judgement. Stop with the red herrings.

Kyhpi, it doesn't reflect well on you to make such a stupid post. Giving a clear elbow to another player is about as dirty as it gets. It is beyond stupid that the tv didnt acknowledge itand even worse with people who can see it after the fact.

I disagree that it was a stupid post.. All I said was

of course you would - it's not even mentioned on national tv
.

You yourself said tv did not acknowledge it. I don't think that's a stupid remark.

Clearly you would never acknowledge that you would ever make a stupid post

The Tv did mention it as they saw it. They saw him trying to get past the defender who was setting a moving screen at half court. There was a far dirtier play earlier in the game from a Heat player, I'm surprised this is what is chosen to discuss TBH.

Last series indy threw many cheap shots that were obvious and no one on here complained, just said it's good tough basketball that the pacers play. Since it's Wade and the Heat it's an issue.

Have to assume refs didn't see it. This would be a fine in the NFL. I won't be upset if they let it go, but if they fine any pacers or upgrade any pacer fouls, they better deal with this too.

Stephenson decided to stroll into Wade's path in the middle of a fast break to draw a cheap foul and Wade tried to jump him. He ended up getting more than he bargained for. Wade was focusing on getting to George, not Stephenson. Stephenson watches all the way and then braces...he knew what he was doing.

End of story, no suspension

I honestly hope wade doesn't get suspended, that way when the pacers throw an elbow to the back of his head, they will have no reason to cry.

He had 2 options, jump or collide, I give a **** what you hate. Stephenson initiated the situation on a fast break. That play doesn't happen in the half court. because the speed is completely different.

after Stephenson got to where he ended up, wade took 2 more steps, jumped, raised his arm elbow first and hit him in the head with his elbow. Do you really think Wade is so uncoordinated that he can't avoid running into a player who is a full two steps away from him? Or that the natural instinct is jump in the air with your elbow out when someone is in your way?

Wade is not focused on Stephenson, he's focused on George, What you're essentially saying is that nobody would get caught in an off ball screen. That happens all the time in the half court....now increase that to Wade sprinting full court and then suddenly Stephenson is in his field of vision. All the way he's going left of Stephenson and then Stephenson crosses his path.

That definitely warrants a suspension. That was a Tito Santana flying forearm finisher for Christ's sake.

Actually, keep it up GoLakersKB24.

lol at people saying Wade only had 2 options, collide or forearm Stephenson in the head. WHAT A JOKE!

watch the video again, he was not running at full speed. he slows down considerably after his initial sprint. he could have very easily side-stepped Stephenson. if you think otherwise, you probably have not an athletic bone in your body and have never played basketball.

the smoking gun to this hit was the prior play: "Wade's pass picked off." it goes hand in hand with his MO: be frustrated with a prior play (no call, turnover, whatever) take out frustration with bush league physicality.
