for 2nd rounders I'd rather swing for the fences with

Lorenzo Brown (Ramon Sessions) or Archie Goodwin (Beldsoe??)

What about Bargnani + Fields for Jefferson + Bierdins + 2014 1st Rounder

Amnesty Kleiza sign Brand + Jordan Farmar

Lowry - Farmar
DD - Ross
Gay - Jefferson
Amir - Brand
JV - Bierdrins

2014 draft we have two 1st's and Bierdrins + Jefferson -= 19m in expirings

Nene's too old and injury prone to make it worthwhile including Ross in a deal for him imo. I'd rather try and trade Ross for a 1st rounder or other young player.

Detriot seems like an excellent landing spot for Gay if he's moved. Something like Charlie's expiring, Jerebko, Singler, English, future 2nd for Gay and JLIII could work. Yes that's an unsexy trade but it does a lot for our cap and Singler and Jerebko could be nice pieces
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Washington might end up being a possible destination for Bargs. Both Wall and Beal said the team needs a stretch-4.

I've been saying that. It's evident in the team's make-up that not only do they need a stretch 4, but they need more shooting in general.

Something around Okafor though. Wiz probably won't wanna give up a pick and there's nothing on their present roster that would make that deal worthwhile for me. If Bargs is to be dealt, I really like the Sacramento deal and would explore that before anything else.

If DET wanted Gay they could have done the deal themselves without including the middle man (TOR).

I'd do Okafor + Vesely for Bargnani and Fields.

LOL I'm sure we all would. However, Wizards wouldn't touch that with a 10-foot pole.

If Kleiza is an amnesty then we have a couple guys we can move for bench depth that we actually need.

Trade

Landry Fields to for Drew Gooden - solves the depth at PF issue - Gooden has had solid numbers up until this year

Aaron Gray + John Lucas for Luke Ridnour or JJ Barea

Sign Tim Mozgov to 2 yrs $3m per

Lowry - Ridnour - Telfair
DD - Ross - Anderson
Gay - Anderson - Ross
Amir - Gooden - Acy
JV - Bargnani - Mozgov

What about just

Andrea Bargnani For Nene. Straight up. This saves Washington 16,750,000 over the course of 3 years. He's 3 years younger than Nene and might fit with that core better. Nene would be a win now move for us.

I wouldn't add Ross, I would add Acy though if that sweetened it.

Wall
Beal
Porter
Bargnani
Okafor/Seraphin

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

He's obviously an upgrade in talent, but my thing is how much further do we get with him? Because if that were to go through we're in for the long haul.

Id rather have Boozer then Nene, we'd be at least competitve in the 2nd round for a few years unless JV becomes a monster

sweetcity, any chance you'd be willing to bring this proposal to the trade board?

Iggy wants to opt out, so we should go hard at him and he would be a great pair with Rudy
and instead of letting him go for nothing they can get younger

Denver in: Ross, Fields, Gray
Toronto in: S&T 4yr 44m Iggy, Quincy Miller

Amensity Bargs
Sign Ed Davis to the MLE
Sign JO to 2yr 4m

PG- Lowry/Telfair?
SG- Iggy/Demar/Anderson
SF- Gay/Kleiza/Miller
PF- Amir/Eddy/Acy
C- JV/JO

Tell me that cannot be a STRONG defensive team with Gay in the lineup

I like it. You can even go small and put Gay at the 4, Iggy at the 3 and DD at the 2.

Doesn't really solve the interior defense issue.

Interior defense is a product of your perimeter defense and Iggy is arguably the best perimeter defender in the league outside of maybe Tony Allen and LeBron James when he's locked in. I'm just not sure it solves our shooting issues. Iggy is a 30% shooter from the outside going based on last years numbers. Teams can still zone up on that squad and stifle them offensively unless Kyle and Rudy just rip it from 3, but we all know both of their strengths are being close to the hoop as well.

No thanks. Unless we're going all in and even then, Bargnani would be better used to bolster the bench than to bring on an expensive injury prone C... We could easily use our MLE to bring in a C if we need it.

So unless Wizards are sending picks, I'm not interested.
