why is matt devlin calling blue-jays games?

Is it a fulltime position for him? what happen to buck martinez? i tried searching online and found nothing.

Leiweke has reassigned him in a new role. He's President of Announcing. We are currently going after Kevin Harland with a strong offer.

Honestly, though... I have no idea. It's all Rogers/Bell so maybe they just like him?

For some reason he seems more likeable when he does other teams' games in the NBA. Maybe it's the awkward laughs and conversations with co-commentators when he does Raps games lol. Anyway, work is work, and I think the Bell/Rogers explanation makes sense. Maybe he's just filling in or something...

Buck and his wife were attending a wedding or something.

Dev;in is good when he's with Jack, though not as good as Chuck was. It's with Leo that he goes downhill. Leo is so bad he brings Devlin down.

Devlin also did a CFL game or 2 last summer. He's versatlie, and he's trying to ingrain himself into the TO and Canadian market.

I don't know if it was NBC but I think he did play-by-play for the wrestling competition during the 2008 Olympics. This guy is very versatile!
