Michael Crabtree Tears Achilles, Could Miss 2013

Michael Crabtree suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Tuesday's OTAs and could need season-ending surgery.

Crabtree had a breakout season in 2012, catching 85 balls for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns.

Crabtree also had 20 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns in the postseason.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Crabtree has already undergone surgery.

Really too bad for him. He put up nice numbers last year and the injury bug gets him again. Nothing easy to come back from either.

Really a shame because I thought this season could propel him into the top 7-10 wideouts in the league. Crabtree and Kap clicked as well as anyone during the bottom half of the season.

Didn't Suggs have a similar injury last offseason? And he came back okay. Sports medicine has come a long way.

Sucks either way though. Definitely hurts his fantasy football value. :P

Could work either way. It sucks because Frisco does not have a true #1. Its good, because crabtree ain't a bigtime #1. And they need to find one and search for one while he's out.
