Knight because we don't have to waste a pick on him again.

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
Both are scorers.....
But Knight is younger and Knight's the better defender.

Knight. 3 months younger, better athlete, and longer.

I say CJ McCollum.
j/k, I'll take Knight. I'm already calling CJ "Knight-lite" (get it?)

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
I think there's a strong chance we'll be talking about Knight AND McCollum after draft night rather than Knight OR McCollum. Let's face it, that pairing would fill Dumars' stated goal of having two guards who can fill both roles on offense, and McCollum may be the best pure shooter and perimeter scorer in the draft (and with our anemic offense, anyone who draws comparisons to Steph Curry is gonna get a look). If one of the top tier guys doesn't slide, I could see Dumars taking McCollum over the other second tier prospects (Bazz, MCW, Zeller, etc.).

Knight, not ready to give up on him unless its for an obviously superior prospect.

Knight since we already have him and I don't want to use the 8th pick on McCollum. But if we didn't have either and I could pick one, I'd probably take McCollum just because I already know what Knight is/isn't, whereas McCollum still has a chance to be a PG

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
truthfully, neither, I want my PG to be an actual PG and my SG to be a SG. But since we already have Knight, Ill go with him and hope that he can become a better SG than he was PG.

I wouldn't put too much stock in CJ's stats with his abbreviated season. Looking at his overall history, I would bet that his shooting percentages would have eventually dropped near his norm if he were healthy for the whole season.

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
McCollum,
his NCAA assist percentage and turnover percentage was closer to Damian Lillard than to Brandon Knight...
And this was as his teams 1st, 2nd, and 3rd option.
So that says to me that like D Lillard & Steph Curry he has a better chance of being a good pg.

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

If McCollum pans out, I'll start jocking small school guys who have to carry all the load.

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
I'm sure McCollum is a better shooter. He is probably the best shooter in the draft, and that includes McLemore. If not better, then those two are in a category by themselves.
We can sooooo use better shooters. For anyone who said they would like JJ Redick on our team, we should also want McCollum.
That being said, what do we do with Knight? He is still young, and good defender, but doesn't seem to have an offensive position. He isn't a pure PG, and isn't a great shooter. He is perfect for a 6th man, filling in for both guard spots. What he hasn't been is obvious starter material. I do hope he works on his game this offseason and blossoms into a PG or a SG. But he isn't there yet.
As a team, I think (as well as most of you by your posts) that we need a PG, SG and SF. If Knight can fill one of them, that's great, then we are only filling two spots. I guess the question comes down to "Can we have a McCollum/Knight backcourt?". I think we can.

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
This totally depends. Do you believe he's going to be a player who compares (well) to Curry in Golden State?
He just might - but it's impossible to say that confidently right now. But if a GM thinks so, then he's going to fly up the draft boards.

Re: Brandon Knight vs. CJ McCollum
Knight because hes already here, McCollum is intriguing though because of his elite ball handling & shooting ability.
Much like Shabazz is via his post game.
Easily the two most interesting prospects with regards to our draft position.

McCollum. Fits better with Moose and AD because of his ELITE shooting ability. He also has nice handles which gets overlooked by a lot of people. How many times have we seen Knight turn the ball over because his handles suck/can't dribble properly?
McCollum's offensive upside is greater. I think someone brought up Curry as a comparison for him and I'm starting to agree with it.

Exactly. He is probably the best shooter in the draft. We could sooooo use someone like that.
