Don't understand, why are you trading Jrue? Trying to tank or something?

Some sins you have to live with your whole existence... taking Evan Turner over your coaches wishes for Favors will live in infamy in Philly for some time to come.

I am starting to believe that having an elite point guard is great for the regular season but not so much for the post season. I would much rather have a serviceable PG who can defend and great bigs than have an elite PG and no bigs, or only one big.

I am also starting to think that many pg's get there stats because of their shear number of touches more than any elite level of play. I believe CP3, T. Parker, and Russell Westbrook, Kyrie, D Rose are elite but I would be fine with a George Hill type on a reasonable contract. I am open to trading for Bledsoe if he is willing to sign for 4/24-28M... that way we can have 2 stud bigs on good contracts and even 2 good wings.

That to me is the recipe for success.. not locking up a $12M contract with a mediocre PG.

Well, wouldn't you consider Jrue Holiday the best of both worlds? He's on an incline to where he'll grow as a notch or two above a George Hill type player and he's already locked up on a VERY reasonable contract. Jrue will make 9.2 this season, 9.9 the next, 10.5 the year after and 11.2 in his final year.

The only reason I'm open to trading him is because the way our roster is currently set up, Jrue is a catalyst to the 7th or 8th seed. We do not need to go through another half decade of mediocrity.

And let's take Favors into account for a second. Don't you think it would be wise to sell high on Favors now? His foul rate is pretty insane, he could be exposed after this season as a guy incapable of playing 30 minutes a night. No matter what, him and his agent are gonna be asking for a huge deal next summer. So you could land a young All-Star guard on a great contract and avoid sinking big money into a guy that may or may not be capable of playing starters minutes due to a high foul rate. It would be a wise trade, IMO.

Lol, you just destroyed your own reasoning for the trade. Why on earth if you feel that way about favors, would you wanna give up your young, star pg?

That's just a hypothetical on Favors. Do I believe he'll be plagued by foul trouble his whole career? No, but it is very possible.

And again, right now we have too much talent to tank and not enough talent to compete. Guys like Jrue Holiday and Thad Young (really good young players) are a luxury that we can't currently afford. We need to take a few steps back and acquire some assets. That 14th pick, for instance, could be packaged with our 11th to move up into the 7 or 8 range and possible land us Trey Burke or C.J. McCollum.

I was asking the same question King: Why on the whole earth a team would want a player who...

Gee, if there is a team in NBA wanting a guy like that, its GM should be fired right now.

Favor sucks !

We also don't see him going out like that. And what I think ppl posting trades for Kanter and Favors on our boards either aren't aware of or don't take into consideration is that not only are we ready to let Big Al and Milsap walk away, we almost want them too. They are free agents. If that happens, our frontcourt depth is average instead of above average and we can't afford to lose either Favors or Kanter. Trading one for a PG after losing Paul and Al is cutting off the nose to spite the face. Our capable PG needs to come from either the draft or free agency.

Terrible trade idea. Jazz keep Favors and draft another PG or recruit one in free agency. I like Holliday, but he's not a game changer for the Jazz. If the Jazz trade Favors, it will be for a top 3 lottery pick. That's what they were offered last year, and the Jazz said no.

I hate Holiday his numbers are inflated because he had to take so many shots on a crap team and he almost lead the league in turnovers. No No No!
