Bad half for Lebron. This is where it would be really nice if he had his jumper working, but it's sucked for most of the playoffs. That fadeaway out of the post was a decent shot for him last season, but he almost never makes it this year.

LeBron's lack of consistency on his jumper is pissing me off at this point. It's not acceptable that his mid-range game comes around once every full moon.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Another missed jumper for Lebron, he rushed that one and was slightly off balance even though it was an open spot up three. His jumper just doesn't look anywhere near as good as it did during the season. I wonder why he changed up his mechanics?
God, Lebron is indestructable. It only takes him a minute after an ankle sprain and it's like it never happened. One of his best traits from day 1 has been his ability to instantly shake off minor injuries. Now he swishes a three, with much better form than he's showed for most of the game.

LeBron's played an inexcusably passive game since the 2nd qtr. Nobody on the team is doing anything. He needs to just shoot the **** ball.

He's shooting in an above-average pace, he's just not making much today outside of a couple of threes. The paint is packed as usual and Indiana has adjusted much better on his post game now that it didn't caught them by surprise... He's very slow and looks limited in mobilty today though. A lot of threes and jumpers. I wonder if that ankle tweak had anything to do with it although he wasn't any faster in the 1st half.

Fouled out again this season in a game 4 of the ECF. Same thing happened last year as well.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
And Lebron fouls out on a ridiculous call. While technically a moving screen, that's basically never called ever, especially not in the 4th. You could foul out every big man by halftime if you call that consistently. Lebron also got called for going straight up against George earlier.

I never thought I'd say this but Lebron fouled out due to 3 straight horrible calls. I didn't see the elbow (looked like a small nudge but nothing foul worthy especially compared to some of his other bows), he clearly jumped straight up against PG on that one play, and that screen call was bs.

Man, after that dagger clutch 3, I really thought he'd win the game for us. But of course, he super legitimately fouled out of the game!

Kind of a big deal for me. One of biggest reasons for me personally that this years LeBron could be elevated to the GOAT peaks is because of the consistency he displayed with his jumpshot (which I felt would allow him to better dictate games against good defensive teams in playoffs who can make adjustments to limit penetration in the half court). His jumper has been kind of inconsistent so far, but he has also been passive as a scorer for so much of this playoff run (partly due to lack of serious competition in first two rounds) that it's hard to tell. Regardless, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Pacers are making this series so competitive as it's not tied to something LeBron isn't doing (though he needs to be much more aggressive on nights Wade/Bosh are struggling), so much as it is that the Pacers matchup so well with the Heat on both ends.

Infuriating game to watch. From LeBron's continued passiveness when Wade and Bosh are playing like utter trash, to the horrendous officiating when it seemed like LeBron might pull something off. Miami's in serious trouble in this series. They have no answer for Indiana's bigs, the refs, a magic potion to cure Wade's knee or help Bosh grow a penis. I could see them losing this series.

Aww poor Lebron. Not!
The last time a big man got called for a moving screen that affected a game was Gm 3 of the '94 Finals. Ewing was called for a moving screen AT HOME which lead to the Rockets getting the ball and Hakeem's pass to Cassell for the 3 that essentially won the game.

I used to get worried when a team would even up a series or even take the lead against Miami.. but what I''ve seen LeBron and company do in must-win games gives me confidence that they will come out firing in game 5.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Lebron wasn't great tonight
But Ray Allen has more rebounds in this series than Chris Bosh does. So does George Hill.
26 offensive boards in this series by Hibbert, which is more than twice as many total rebounds as bosh has. Indy's best offense is Hibbert abusing Chris Bosh on the O glass, it was their entire attack late tonight. Certain teams can kill Miami for playing bosh at the 5 and this is one of them
Wade has looked like trash. Prior to tonight he was more efficient of late but still lacking explosion. 20 point games seem impossible for him right now. (Speaking of which, lance stephenson has as many 20 point games in this postseason as Wade and Bosh combined, so does Marco Belinelli and Ray Felton)
The Heat supporting cast is vastly overrated in the past two postseasons.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Mysterious game by the refs. For the first three quarters I thought they were clearly making sure that the Heat were going to win... and then the fourth happened. Lebron would definitely have put them back in the game had it not been for the lamest foul call of this postseason. Instead, Wade hesitated on an open look and got called for an up and down.
However... Can we basically expect Lebron to come out and wreck Indiana this Thursday? Lebron hates the Pacers and is not gonna let it go to 7. I'm looking forward to Game 5.

I unfortunately was not able to see this game.
Could someone give me an overview of what happened with the refs?

LeBron was called for well deserved fouls and Heat fans were upset. He literally tripped Lance S. on the illegal screen call, and yet people gave felt it necessary to complain.
In any case; I'm warming to Chosen618's theory:

He has been too passive and has been picking his spots way too often. I think he has gotten carried away with his efficiency. It has come to a point where he is hurting the team because he cares about getting the best shot possible and is often times becoming passive because he doesn't get that look.

6th and 4th LeBron's fouls were very doubtful. On the other hand refs missed obvious call with 24s (ball touched the rim, but clock wasn't reseted and Pacers lost ball) and of course a lot of flopping from LJ and Battier (West too, but Heat haters wouldn't admit it).
