No way I want that son of a bitch on our team. Even if I wouldn't dislike him as a person, I have serious doubts about him ever returning to his form of being able to carry a team of shooters to the finals. Imo, he's about to get seriously overpaid for the player he has become after injuries.

Please tell me you're not serious. I hate the dude but you'd have to be pretty crazy not to offer him at least very very close to a max deal. This is Dwight Howard, even in a down year punctuated by two pretty serious injuries, was by far the best center in the league.

There's no point in even talking about it though. He's more likely to S&T his way to Toronto than he is to sign here.

I whole hardedly believe Dwight is not a max player. He was 2 seasons ago.

A team is going to give him a max deal, no doubt. But he will never live up to that deal. His body has taken a beating. He won't be but 75% of what he used to be. Its like saying you'll give Pau Gasol a max deal because of what he used to be. Or Andrew Bynum.

And thats not taking into account his cancerous, team-killing personality.

Wow, Dwight Howard would quite easily be the best player we've ever had and our yearly ticket to the playoffs.

The guy is still the best C in the game and is 27, nearly 28 years old.

No way he comes here but if he did I would be ecstatic.

Well, with Royces Whites of the league you can't assume anything with those big childs. The only good thing would be him being a trading chip but we would have to wait half a season to unload him and many can happen meanwhile (including him not being tradeable at all anymore) so I would pass.

I wasn't really enamored with him before Dwightmare saga even begun. There were subtle red flags. He could play but he couldn't play up to his potential. I haven't liked him on and off the court.

I think you'd be completely sick of him two months into the season after one awkwardly made statement to the press that criticizes the team, two ejections and a hundred bricks from the free throw line.

Dwight needs to go play for the Phoenix Suns. Get his health back.

There's a 30-40% chance Howard doesn't remember the Bobcats exist.

20 points, 15 boards, and DPOY caliber defense tends to make up for that.

We haven't seen him do that the last two seasons. I think that Howard is gone and won't come back.

Dwight's post-All-Star numbers were 18.4/13.6 and 2.64 blocks and more than a steal on 57.8%. He showed he was back to his normal self in the second half of the season. He'll be alright. Even when he was still working his way back from surgery he was putting up an "awful" 16/12 and more than 2 blocks ans 1 steal. His D isn't what it was in the past, but you can blame D'Antoni and his terribad game plans for that. Saying Dwight is gone and won't come back is very premature.

Coach Steve Clifford said on radio "I won't dispel that rumor..." when asked about the possibility of Dwight Howard coming to Charlotte

The blocks and steals a player averages don't tell the whole story. Dwight's strength used to be his mobility and capability of hedging pick-n-rolls. He looked as slow as Brook Lopez in pick-n-rolls even after the All-Star game.

:nonono:   :noway: :noway: :noway: No way.Next topic please. If Heat dumped Bosh in (3 way?) trade,he would fit beautifully in Miami. :offtopic: Same way with Paul if Miami traded Dwade/Chalmers to LAC.

The only way we ever see these two guys in Charlotte is when they are 33-35 years old and ending their carreers.
