Seriously; how can a clear trip be referred to as a questionable call?

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
At this point in his career I trust Lebron to deliver, but he can't beat the Pacers unless he gets enough help. I don't think I'd necessarily call his supporting cast overrated, but they have shown that they're more than capable of underperforming. I think fatigue could really be a big factor here, if Lebron tries to take over but can't finish the job just because of the tough defense and the minutes he's playing.

Well he is almost -5 FG% from the regular season so obviously it's not working for him either

Thats expected because he is going against the #1 defense.

8 prior times LeBron has played a game 5 with a series tied at 2.
Those 8 games
30.3 pts
7.9 rebs
6.3 ast
48.4% FG
Of course this also includes the Boston game in 2010 which might have been the worst of his career. Game logs in the spoiler

Good thing he's not playing Boston!
In reality, I'm really excited to see how Lebron plays tomorrow night. Hopefully Bosh's and Lebron's ankle injuries aren't too serious. Since Bob doesn't seem to have his internet sorted out, I'll update Miami's results:
Miami w/ Lebron 2013 Playoffs (13 G):
115.2 ORtg
103.3 DRtg
+11.8 Net
Miami w/ Lebron vs. Pacers 2013 Playoffs (4 G):
116.0 ORtg
114.1 DRtg
+1.8 Net
Interesting fact that you wouldn't believe about this series is Chris Andersen having the lowest On-Off of any Heat player (!):
Miami w/ Birdman vs. Pacers 2013 Playoffs (4 G):
111.2 ORtg
116.8 DRtg
-5.6 Net
Plus/Minus is notoriously noisy for any sample less than a whole season long, but it seems as though the Heat don't really have an answer to Hibbert's rebounding and post game.

Maybe because the refs won't call it on star players...like ever? Especially during a close game like this

Star players shouldn't be called for fouls?

Perhaps in raw stats without including context. But it was game 1 on the road in a series his team was a massive underdog in. 2010 Game 5 was a pivotal spot on his own floor in a series his team was favored.

They should, but fouls like this aren't usually called against them. Benefits of being a star, a megastar of his caliber especially.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
With 5 points tomorrow LeBron passes Wilt on the all time playoff scoring list in 31 fewer playoff games. With 21 he also passes Elgin Baylor. Should the Heat postseason continue on into the finals as we all expect, he will surely pass Scottie, Magic, Hakeem and Hondo as well, and move into 9th all time in playoff history in scoring this postseason. He will undoubtedly at some point be the all time leading scorer in postseason play (though he won't match MJ's scoring average), along with being top 3 in total assists and top 6-7 in total rebounds.

I agree that this foul is rarely called, especially late in a close playoff game, but LeBron was stupid to even put himself in that situation to begin with. Why in the world would you trip a player when you have 5 fouls? He has no one to blame but himself.

Want to see Lebron go off? Watch game 5. Unless the others pull a game 2, we should expect a big game from BronBron.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
What happened to the whole guard 1-5 thing? Hibbert is killing his team So far since this idea has started(which is the last 2 years) the only big men I've seen lebron on in the playoffs in significant time are ibaka and perkins. Perkins who is probably the worst offensive player in the league regardless of position and ibaka who can't create his own shot.
It's not really lebrons fault its spo's call but Spo is one of the main ones who started this myth. Dude BRAGS that lebron can guard 4's and 5's but won't put him on any ones of note When the games actually matter.

Do you actually watch the games? I don't think you do because you would realize LeBron was guarding West for the 4th quarter. Last I checked, West was a 4, and the 4th quarter actually matters too.
