Re: Official Team USA Thread
Tonight starts a nice run of US games this summer. I believe they are on ESPN though not that it matters.

Re: Official Team USA Thread
Should be a good test for the U.S., Belgium is a very good team that should make the WC and could make some noise next summer.
DeMarcus Beasley is expected to get his 100th cap tonight.

Re: Official Team USA Thread
Nice to see Beasley get his 100th cap, but I don't see this game ending well for us. Between The Fro, Lukaku and De Bruyne, I can't imagine them all staying quiet.
I'll go with Belgium 3-1.

Re: Official Team USA Thread
Nice corner there. Still...
The one thing that's annoyed me most about this team during qualifying and most of the friendlies over the last year or two has been how lazy the defense is. Now matter who we start back there, it turns into a ton of ball watching and bad tackles.
The forwards do a decent job at creating opportunities, but lack finishing skills, and seem to be improving. The defense, on the other hand, just constantly seem to be standing around.

Re: Official Team USA Thread
I feel bad for Guzan right now. His defense is doing absolutely nothing to help him out.

Let's face it, the U.S has taken a step back. They are so bad to watch now.

He is used to it at Villa.
Anyways, I just dont like the lineups JK runs out there. Why cant we let Jozy play more than a half? Why dont we try him up top with Johnson? Why does he put our slowest attackers on the wings? Why dont we just keep the same backline as the Mexico game and take out Beasley when Fabian gets back?
Sorry for the mini rant but it seems so obvious.

Re: Official Team USA Thread
Johnson has been great. He should be the starting LAM next game if we continue the 4231.

Ha! True enough.
I just don't see what Klinsmann has done to make this squad any better. I didn't like him as the hire in the first place, but for Pete's sake this just isn't going anywhere. I don't necessarily think the team has gotten worse, I just don't think they've improved in any facet of the game at all. Dempsey is the only one in the last couple years who has proven anything as a consistent playmaker and Jozy has stalled out (as mentioned before).
There's nothing to be proud of lately. The draw at Azteca was a little something of a bright spot, but the rest of Hex doesn't seem to be very promising.

And this is almost off-topic, but Jermaine Jones looks like Eric Andre...

Re: Official Team USA Thread
eww yuck puke
Beasley next to Goodson is Fn Garbage
thats just horrible
at least Beasley got into the attack, cause Cameron was nowhere to b seen
whoever the DM will be, they have to stay at home, and b the DM
we really need that protection
id prefer a small switch to a 4-1-3-2, with that 1 DM spot, to NEVER attack
id even prefer a skinny diamond 4-4-2....since we dont have any wingers anyways
Davis looked good. even though i dont like him
we will never b a good scoring team with the group we have, so we need to concentrate more on D and possession
