im not sure what McGwire's theory is...I know he takes a mental approach and wants the guys to swing at pitches they can drive....and spit on the garbage (but who doesn't?)

but Kemp...Kemp is not in a position to be taking pitches.
pitchers are just gonna get ahead on him and then bury him because he can't cover the whole plate with his stupid shoulder.

makes you wonder what luis cruz has been doing during the winter. if our catcher could work on a specific task while recovering from a major surgery on his knee, surely a healthy infielder who was seizing the last opportunity after a decade down in minors would... do what?
