Phil Jackson...keep wording up management... please
Why is Phil still talking Lakers smack? We know they told him to stay at home with his ball and hired D'Antoni instead...it's over, get over it.
No need to poison the waters regarding Dwight Howard and the Lakers going inside - or not enough.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... th-DAntoni
Funny how so many forget the sweep by the Mavericks, where Phil - Phil - failed to pound the ball inside in an embarrassing sweep.
Kobe's shot attempts in games 1-4 of that series - 29,20,16,18.
Pau and Bynum's COMBINED shots in games 1-4 of that series - 18,23,29,17.
We know you're trying to elevate book sales - again - even though you were handsomely paid by the Laker organization for so many years.
The Detroit Pistons have asked for your consultation - give it to them and stop with all the media outlets. Please.

This!!!!!!!!
That teams core was mentally and physically tired from 3 straight finals run. Kobe was on 1 legg and Pau had off court issues bothering him. Phil coached us to 7 finals in his time here winning 5 rings. And on top of that is about to marry Jeanie Buss so his legacy is entrenched here in Laker lore. He can voice his opinion whenever he feels like it or is asked to.

phil has been very classless in how he's handled his comments about the lakers coaching. i don't think i've ever heard a coach talk about who'd he want to replace a currently employed coach with the way phil consistently does.

And its not like the Lakers nor Dantoni (ssol, book) have been classy toward him. Get what you give.
Dantoni never been overly respectful to Phil, and Phil's never gave a damn about his feelings. Thus go sit the **** down years ago during a game

And as far as the Lakers. Hey it's what you get when you pink slip a guys whole **** staff before their last playoff run. Its what you get when you interview the guy he respected and trained and spent most the time taking shots at Phil and then not have the courtesy to even call Shaw after a decade of being a laker to tell him he didnt get the job. Lastly its what you get when you half ass the **** out of a coaching change last year, by refusing to let Phil wait to Monday and contact his agents and assistants like a real professional to make sure he has what all he needs behind him to do the job properly, just because Pringles would take 3mil per year over the phone as he was cashing ny checks too ignoring he had no staff, no camp, and no **** clue how to coach this team other than recite the two words that gave him a hard on every time he stumbled, Steve Nash.
Phil watched the baboon ruin a team with championship aspirations. He watched the clown bench Pau and say its because he wanted to win after less than month in. He watched the jackass struggle to a tune of 5-13 with Nash running the offense, until his guy, Kobe told both them go sit in the corner and shut the **** up while he righted the ship, with Phil's principles. Nash off the ball, Pau at the elbow, Dwight as a flasher, Kobe making decisions, all thing spoil would have done without digging the team into a **** grave to the point Kobe would have to play every damn game like it was a playoff game to stop the shame of failure and smell of **** they were being covered in. En he watched Dantoni called a guy who yes Phil has been critical of before, but praised highly in his latest book if you actually read it, a fan, a **** fan, after he literally saved that jack offs job by killing himself and single handedly willing a team into the playoffs and out the grave Pringles, Jim, and Nash (they catered to him, tried to maximize and prioritize him, and he flipped hard last year) to the media.
Phil needs to pour ether on the **** until people just get it, Dantoni shouldn't have the job, he only got it because of Nash and spite for Phil. He needs to keep it up until one of two things happen, Dantoni wins titles or he gets fired. Phil has every bit of the rig to criticize and say Dantoni isn't a winner as anyone in the media like Stephen A Smith or Magic even Kobe if Pringles doesn't learn his place and adapt to the leash that he needs to be placed on.
Taking 3s as a precedent over a team who built their name on Mikan, Wilt, Shaq, Kreem, Worthy, Magic, and even Kobe, West, and Goodrich ffs. Its a reason Phil will have his name in that ceiling and a statue outside Staples, likewise there's a reason Dantoni won't, and Phil is just calling a **** coach a **** coach
Get him Phil

Re: Phil Jackson...quiet...please...
Let me reiterate what the man said
--------
Colin asked what if the Lakers called him and just said "Help Us":
- I would send them one of my Assistant Coaches to help them out.
- I know what the Lakers need, I know what they need.
- The Lakers are big, they need to get back inside the post, that's where the strength of their team is. But they picked a different path and chose a style of play they believe is the future of basketball so we'll wait and see.
Colin says D'Antoni coaching players to play inside isn't his strength then asks Phil if it bothers him watching the Lakers fail:
- That's the biggest thing about coaching, it bothers me when the players are not thriving, watching the players struggling the way they were.
- It bothers me that Pau had a season where he had so much difficulty being utilized ineffectively.
- It bothers me that a guy at the level of Dwight was made to look human, sometimes even less than human.
- It bothers me that Kobe had a season where he had to be put in a position to play entire (48 min) games and had to be pushed to the limit for his age.
Colin asks where Phil sees his basketball career in the future:
- An adisory role or even a Tex Winter type role, something like Pete Newell.
-------
It **** bothered me too to the tune of $189 as well as any laker fan, laker great, Kobe, Pau, Dwight, and that's why I have no problem with Phil stating the obvious. Phil is watching him trash up the house he built (Staples Center, as every banner earned there is Kobe and Phil, every series won their is Kobe and Phil, and every member from the top to the bottom back to the top is Kobe and Phil. Phil is as attached to this damn team is Kobe, Jack, Worthy, and anyone of else; if he wasnt he wouldn't give a **** and would've took a job elsewhere, and just like any true person who bleeds the lakers Dantoni has left a sour ass taste in their champagne

I think Phil wants the Lakers job even more than the fans want Phil for the job. I couldn't have believed this but looking at all the talent, Phil is like an addict trying to get his hands on the team.

It's difficult to watch grandpa drive a Ferrari poorly and not say something about how to do it right.

Dantoni isn't a winner, he didnt maximize the talent of the team, and Phil as the greatest coach in the history of the league let alone Lakers has a right to say whatever he wants criticism wise because there's no one who can tell him how to win better.

Go ahead phil the floor is yours..
Only thing that stood out to me is the way he doesn't definitely say he's done coaching. Not having intentions to coach kinda leaves the door open for me.
But for god sake just hire the man and let him bring in shaw. I think thAt would make the fan base hAppy and ultimately isnt that what it's all about.

Re: Phil Jackson...quiet...please...
i dont mind it. the nba should cater to its fans and at the end of the day the lakers are doing a disservice to their fans by having 3antoni as coach. phil is 100% correct and im glad somebody had the balls to say what he did
Warspite:
Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

I am fine with it, the Lakers are being run like a clown college right now, with Jim Buss and Dantoni being the ring leaders.
No chance in h*ll right now should Howard stick around, I wouldn't if I were him. It pains me to say that as a Lakers fan, but this team has little hope for the next 2-3 years under this construction.

Re: Phil Jackson...quiet...please...
Everyone on this entire board has been talking similar smack against the lakers players , especially after losses. suddenly phil can't do it but we can? Where's the sense in that? Notice he never says anything bad about the lakers themselves, just things the players need to do. we do it all the time here. D'Antoni gets bashed every other post by posters here.

only difference between us and Phil is that he's an icon and everything he says is a big deal and we're just...
