Went over to Kings board and saw some wanting MKG/Walker AND the 4th pick.

Yeah...... No.

I got great joy from hearing the "Monta to Kings" rumors again, only this time them being Ellis himself interested in Sac Town since they hired Mike Malone. I headed to the Kings board instantly hoping for some alarmed fans and rejoiced after every comment basically consisted of displeasure.

It's like they learned nothing from having an Evans, Fredette, Thornton, Brooks and Thomas back-court. Some of the best FO comedy in the league. God, I love dumb GMs. I hope they end up signing him.

interesting. probably time for a change of scenery for both parties. its not working with cousins and evans. they need to blow it up and start fresh.

I think all 29 other teams in the league should explore the possibility of getting one of those guys for 75 cents on the dollar. The games where good DeMarcus shows up and Tyreke's 20/5/5 rookie season are enough to tell me that these guys can be perennial all-stars.

aargh, I'm almost frustrated at this point. can't stop thinking about SAC's future plans. a million trade ideas going through my head.

it's like, if you want to be **** mediocre, then why can't you give Cousins a shot. a player who was a way higher ceiling than Ellis. I won't even get into the details of how bad Monta can be, we all know that.

but seriously, I'd go the trade for some, perhaps over-paid, yet established veterans route than signing Monta. explore deals for Pierce and Garnett, I bet Boston would love receiving Tyreke for one of them and build a rugged, defensive team around DMC and hope he buys in. At least then there would be a point in having a 7th or 8th seed in the West for too much of money because Cousins could break out by learning under an older big.

On a related note, it frustrates me so much that bad rebuilding teams don't keep enough vets around. You can't measure the impact Jason Kidd has for the Knicks or Juwan has for the Heat. You don't even have to play them, if they're not able to.

fuuck, I'm probably going to be late for an appointment because of this post.

haha, i love seeing lamar get worked up about random kings trades.

i agree 100% about rebuilding teams needing great vet role models, even if they never play a minute... as long as they understand and accept their role.

yes to a juwon howard who will sit on the bench and mentor the youngs and not care about minutes
no to a ben gordon who wants to play and will cause problems if he doesnt get minutes
yes to a jason collins type
no to diop who is probably more interested it teaching the youngsters about weed, eating out and talking about his stock portfolio.

you can't have enough smart vets around. one more point I wanted to make. I remember when Bill Simmons had Horry on his podcast and the fact that Big Shot Rob had to talk about not being able to get a job surprised me. He himself said that he wants to have an opportunity at being an assistant in the league, yet there aren't any offers out there. Why hasn't anyone offered such a well-respected guy a job!?

anyway, since we're talking about crappy teams, I was looking at John Wall enjoying himself during the off-season and seriously thought that MKG is in one of the pictures for some time. Supposedly it's just some rapper. Look for the guy in the middle of the picture where all of the guys are. And enjoy the rest of the photos.

Meek Mill is the rapper that you're referring to. I've always thought that MKG favored Meek Mill a little bit.

If you are in need of a good laugh look at the Bucks board and their thread for when they hired Larry Drew

Augustin's brutal reality should scare Hendo's agent from asking for too much money at the negotiation table to stay in Charlotte.
