Forgot the Nets, Knicks could definitely use him, but I don't know if Golden State really needs him with Bogut, Lee, Ezeli, and Biedrins soaking up all the center minutes.

Billy King is dumb enough to trade for him, sure.

What about... Haywood, Gordon, Thomas for Stoudemire and future 2nd round pick.

I actually think both sides would do it.

We will not go anywhere near Stoudemire and his dodgy knees and arguably the league's worst contract to boot.

We get absolutely nothing out of that trade.

Well, you're trading crap that expires at the same time as Stoudemire, for Stoudemire, maybe if he can stay healthy it'll be worthy.

Nobody wants that deal. Stoudemire is done. I was hoping he'd be able to turn it around, but he's really done. If NY really ends up dumping him, they'll have to give up a ton just to offload him. That is $45M of deadweight, taking up more than 1/3 of the salary cap per year. There is nobody taking that, unless NY throws in Tyson Chandler. Ridiculous, absolutely absurd, but that's seriously what it would take to offload Stoudemire. That's why STAT is still in NY.

anyone catch haywood on WFNZ yesterday? he definitely has a future in broadcasting. i could see him as a color analyst some day or a studio guy or a radio host. he really knows his hoops and loves to talk about it and does so is a very eloquent way.

It seems as if he's a regular guest on WFNZ. I'm pretty sure the sole reason that he decided to sign with Charlotte was to connect a few ties in an attempt to get into broadcasting or commentating in his hometown of North Carolina before ending his career.

We claimed him off amnesty waivers. He didn't choose to sign here.

I never looked into it, but I always thought that amnestied players & their agents had some kind of say so in at least persuading preferred destinations into claiming them.

He mentioned a month or so back that he didn't think Biz and Noel could play together. Just another reason I'm glad to not be in the running for Noel.

The Charlotte Bobcats announced on Thursday that center Brendan Haywood will miss at least 12 weeks after surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.

I almost forgot he was on the team. This means that he's out until maybe January. I was for sure this type of thing was going to happen to him last year at his age

Oh well - our championship hopes are now down the drain.

Haywood = Deadwood. Just get rid of him. Replace him.

Well ****, I was hoping we'd sucker a contender desperate for a big body (OKC, Miami, LAC) into giving up a late 1st for Haywood. :(

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 13m

A suggestion: As articulate as Brendan Haywood is, Bobcats should invite him to do color on radio while he's injured. He'd be great.
