Are you looking forward to Interleague play in an NL Park (Starting May 29)?

Yes- Because there is more strategy, and you utilize the bench more, more of a team game

If such a player actually existed, sure, you could make that argument. But I don't see another realistic option available better than Dickey.[/quote]

I would have done the same, but the fact that he was a knuckleballer would have swayed me the other direction. Yes in 2012 he did wonderful against the AL East, but in less than 2 starts. We're gonna face them more often, and obviously they will make adjustments. This is why there hasn't been a lot of success with the knuckleballer. Wakefield was great because his longevity and career 4.00ERA, I'd take that as a 4-5th starter in any rotation. But Dickey as an ace? Not quite sure. Yeah he won the CY Young and it was a great story, but that doesn't matter. AA made the mistake. Whats worse is his post-game analysis.

1 series loss out of the last 7. obviously not nearly good enough to gain any ground whatsoever in the division, but with the starting pitching in shambles, i'll take going 4-4 against two better teams in baltimore and atlanta. it is a bit of a loser's mentality to accept mediocrity yet again but playing .500 ball is certainly better than the sh*tshow we had to endure in april

boy dickey has been pretty **** this season. honestly. 5.18 era. that's crap no matter how you slice it. listening to that guy on the jays post game show defend dickey is so annoying. for someone who's supposed to be the "ace" 5.18 is just unacceptable. it's too bad.

They've done a pretty good job of treading water with the 2nd worst rotation in baseball this month. The offense showed up at least. Going to need more out of the pitching if they hope to do better, though.

I was actually hoping for DIckey to have a good game. Thought he might do well against a free swinging Braves team, clearly I was wrong.

Dickey has been pisspore save for 1 or 2 starts. With all the other pitchers hurt we needed him to give us a good start every 5th game. I know he's still got lots of starts left but I haven't seen any indication that he will improve.

I'm not going to sit here and bash the move by AA though, I still think it was a good one. Classic Toronto team, everything that could go wrong is and no one is playing above average.
That's what she said.

Dickey is a troll. How can someone who just came off a CY year suddenly become as crappy as this? No real injury, nothing, it's as if he woke up one morning and just lost all his mojo... perfect timing as always.

It's pretty absurd, but Price has done the same thing. Both of last year's CY winners have 3 more losses than wins, and both have an ERA over 5.
