Considering Sergey Karasev with #9?! Maybe #26 but not #9...

I dunno.. might be super shaky on defense, but he would be a perfect fit for our offense. DX gave him the most glowing write up I've ever read on that site.

I think, looking at the draft, we might be forced to "reach" it is in "" because I think it is a very flat draft, team needs with determine a lot this year, no real BPAs, once you get to a point, very possible we are looking at KCP and others with McCollum, Len and Muhammad all gone by #9.

If it gets to that point I don't see many wrong answers, we won't likely pick a center because of the talent drop off, but if we were, it would be Adams?. SG leaves you thin, like I said KCP (Is he better/how much better than what we can get in FA or at 26?)? SF we are left with a couple of options in that range, Karasev or Saric, and we are not taking a PF or PG. There perhaps is a player or two in the debate I left out, but if we find ourselves in the situation which I described Karasev due to fit, and need may be the best looking option to some, not that big of a deal. Maybe we try and trade down...if options exist and we think we can still get him there.

Sergey might be one of the worst defenders of the draft. Wouldn't even want him at 26.

There are lots of bad defenders, a group which Karasev belongs in. He may never be a great defender, but being young and defense being the last thing that tends to develop in players which are well-rounded, I tend to believe there is hope for him as effort on defense is not an issue, it is poor positioning, poor angles which are exploited with his below average lateral quickness.

I don't see him ever being a good defender no matter how much effort he could put on the court. He's way too slow. Not saying he will be a bad player, though.

Good I can see, great I cannot. I guess there are varying degrees of good so there is no reason to be circumspect in our proclamations, but I don't see any reason he won't be serviceable.

I really liked the interview with KCP. I've been pretty heavy on the trade up for Oladipo bandwagon, but I really liked seeing that attitude from KCP. He seemed like a sincere kid who is very humble and dedicated to working hard, providing energy at both ends, and learning and being a team guy.

I've previously felt that I would be disappointed if we just stood pat and drafted KCP at #9, but I feel better after that interview. I still would like to find a way to get Oladipo, but I definitely got a good vibe about KCP there.

I get a Paul George vibe from KCP. That excites me!

KCP seems like he would enjoy playing with ricky.

At this point, we might be forced to move up a few spots to grab KCP. You couldn't ask for a better compliment to the team than this guy. Also, I like Tony Snell with the second pick a lot. If we can come away with a few guys who can shoot and defend the wing that would help tremendously.

I think he is going to struggle big time getting to the rim. I like some of the other options later in the draft better. I think Hardaway and Ledo will both be better.

I don't think he'll be a big threat at the rim either, but all I ask is that he be able to create space to get off his jump shot and he looks to have that ability. A prime Ginobili that can do both would be great, but I don't think that type of SG talent exists in this draft; I'm content w/ a Klay Thompson level SG.
