Chris Paul Upset With Clippers' Organization

Chris Paul is angry with the Los Angeles Clippers' organization due to how he has been widely blamed for the dismissal of Vinny Del Negro, according to a source.

The Atlanta Hawks could be a contender to sign Paul if he considers leaving the Clippers.

More fuel to the fire. Up until he actually makes a decision, their will probably be about a dozen rumors that Paul will re-sign and about another dozen rumors that he will leave.

I also think that Paul is upset that the world knows that he is the secrete GM of the Clippers. he is an active player that is making all the decision on the team. I think Paul might appreciate going to a team where he is not to blame for all the bad contracts.

I read this article and couldn't help being excited. My problem is you never how much of this is true or just smoke. But, there might be some truth to it at least, that there was enough to write any about means potentially good things for ATL.

On ESPN.com, they have a First Take video with Stephen A's comments on this whole situation. He actually laughed out loud when the Hawks were brought up. I don't know whether to be angry or cry because he's probably one of the best connected opinions on the NBA. And for him to laugh at the very mention of us is just deflating. I hate that the Hawks have that perception of them, but I don't see it changing unless a scenario like this works out or we rebuild with new stars.

The Hawks for some reason are hated more than the Heat by the Media.

Don't think that Paul leaves the Clippers. If he does though I hope he signs with Atlanta. I like your team. Crappy ownership solidarity and all. I do like the move to pursue David West and I think you guys have a great FO now.

The main and only reason Chris Paul will want to stay with LAC is money. He's going to make his most lucrative contract of his career with the 5th yr they can give. So, that's the only way he can guarantee he will get that cash. If he really is upset and sees at least as good a opportunity in Atlanta, then he may be willing to risk not getting that extra year. Injury could ruin that chance of recouping that lost year.

The thing is, Paul is very political. I would say he is borderline Machiavellian. He won't let his emotions cloud his judgment. Now, he might feel he has a better chance to win a championship in Atlanta and that could be a reason to leave. But leaving because of hurt feelings? Absolutely not.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
