Neve mind about the other side of the ball, I guess we didn't watch that in the playoffs at all.

No all I'm saying is that his game would be a very good fit and his defense is not worse than Amare's. Also not worse than Nowitzki's. He can hold his own, he's seven foot, next to Chandler that alone will be enough. He shoots very well, has a great pump fake and agility going to the basket. He doesn't need to be relied on that much. I'm also not saying Amare should be traded for him or that there is any way of acquiring Bargnani.

When you build a team you look for what you need and Bargnani provides that. Length and shooting. He would be a very, very good fit. You cannot expect management to land Roy Hibbert or Lamarcus Aldridge obviously.

EDIT: and yeah I think he would shoot around 45% in next to Felton, Shumpert, Melo and Chandler. It is not happening though, I know that.

it wont happen because grunwald like the rest of the other GM likely wont be that dumb at least that's my hope.

Bargnani has talent, so did Adam Morrison and Yi.

Bargnani's height is no advantage other than for him to get his shot off....his 7 feet means nothing to any other aspect to basketball.

I'm assuming he'd start so he's gonna be counted on, otherwise he's a 7 foot Novak out there if he isn't shooting.

He's not worth trading for, otherwise teams would have traded for him....he's been on the block for the last 2+ years.

I'd have no issue with the guy coming in after he clears waivers....which he will.

I'd be very happy with that. His game is nothing like Novak's though. Make no mistake...

You wont see that Bargnani ever again, certainly not in the big lights of MSG.

Still fair enough. Doesn't matter it's just fiction anyway.

No motivation, he's paid, much older than that period and is a bust, and hasn't been healthy any more than amare has.

I can honestly say I've never seen this much interest for a scrub.

Bargs can stretch the floor for Melo. Id take Bargs + Amir for Amare.

the news about chris paul being unhappy opened the door already anyway... :( really this is going to be a long offseason. I'm glad the Bargnani situation at least looks like it's not going to last for too long.

There is only one way for the Knicks to challenge for the ECF next season and that's through a healthy Stoudemire. If that doesn't happen we'll just witness a repeat of this year. With our cap situation the earliest we can make some noise on the trade market is after next season when STAT and Tyson have a combined 38mill. expiring contracts.

I'd also take Bargnani and Johnson in a heartbeat, but the Raptors would never do that. I don't even think theres any reasonable way to acquire Amir Johnson alone :)

I hate Bargnani, too, but if you could get him for Amare and Novak, that'd be great.

Really can't see any GM taking on his deal, when they know what the Raptors plans are.

They at least have to offer a draft pick to sweeten it up, but i dont think they have their 2013 one.

Just wait for the amnesty and see what happens would be the wise choice for everyone.

Gay + Bargnani for Amare + Novak saves them $3,209,038.

i would think they'd want to keep Gay.

their only goal is to get rid of bargnani's contract, not deplete themselves of all their talent.

it's only the bust they want to get rid of.

They want to get bargnani out of there.

they wouldn't have traded for Gay if that were the case.
