Re: Should we trade DJ?
We could try and offer DJ and the 25th pick to Boston and see if they go for it. We could also offer Bled and Butler to Utah for the 14th and 21st picks.
14th pick-Gorgui Dieng
He would be KG's eventual replacement at C. The kid is some what of a very poor mans version of KG in the sense that he is a good defender, good mid range shooter and good passer. At the very lease, Dieng would be a better shooting, defending and passing version of DJ. His midrange game would compliment Blake in the low post and he hit 65% of his free throws last season and he is improving. In his rookie year, I would project Dieng at getting 18mpg behind KG.
21st pick-Allen Crabbe
He would be our long term starting SG. The guy could shoot and bother opposing shooting guard with his 6-11.25 wing span. He could be anywhere from a third stringer, to our 18mpg starting SG in front of Jamal Crawford.
Trade exception- We would receive a trade exception worth 8-10.6 million dollars. I'm not sure if the rookie salaries we absorb count towards that. This could be very useful. We could use the trade exception in a variety of different ways, like using it for a sign and trade or absorbing a player like Ariza(if Washington wants to get rid of him).
All of this would of course have to be up to KG to waive his no trade clause. I don't care if he only plays one year for us because his salary would then come off the books next season.

Re: Should we trade DJ?
I'm not sure Utah would take Butler unless Marvin Williams is going out. They might do a Bledsoe + Butler for #14, #21 and Marvin Williams, but no one wants Marvin Williams. Also depends on how much they value the 21st pick because they are gaining a little more salary in a Butler/Williams swap.
If Wizards are fine with Williams you could try a three way where Williams goes to Washington and Ariza comes here and Clippers give Washington a future second round pick.
Nevermind, Williams had heel surgery and is out till at least December

I think Utah would consider doing the deal if they are high on Bledsoe.

Griffin is the exception, fingers crossed.
