We will deal him for the right value but he is in no way a throw away player right now. With Mike Brown being back - AV's defensive tenacity will be welcomed with open arms. I see AV playing well in the beginning of 2013 and being traded at the deadline in 2014 with assets for either a player or picks. AV will then be entering into his final year of his contract - which is partially guaranteed and will be much more attractive.

I haven't heard anything in the media, but its believed that with Mike Brown coaching again that Andy will be staying put for now. He is a favorite of Brown, and since Brown is a defense first coach it would seem that he would want Andy to stay.

I don't see him getting traded, when he is healthy he's super valuable but he's never healthy so you won't get good value for him. As a Magic fan, if my team was competing for a championship I think I would be willing to offer up a mid to late draft pick only.

Best I give for Cousins is Waiters and Zeller.

or MAYBE instead of Zeller it'd be Varejao, MAYBE.

That sounds about right. Then you draft McLemore and you're pretty much whole again.

Cousins is a ton of risk because you have to give him huge money in about a year.

Cavaliers are trying to win now - meaning Andy stays until that decision changes. The only way he goes is as part of a deal for a bigger contibutor. I can't see us dumping him for youth and picks.

I could see us sending Andy, and two seconds. I'll bet Sac wants a lot for Cousins but get less than they are asking for due to the issues.

Not sure what some people are seeing in Cousins. He's not a good defender that the Cavs need and he's a knuckle head stat padder. IMO, he's not the risk that the Cavs should be entertaining.

Thompson + pick for Love + 2nd rd?

What is the overall consensus of what this pick is worth?

I'm pretty sure that the Cavs would say hell yeah. Could you imagine the whole spate of new commercials starring those two.

All this cousins talk ( i know its not gonna happen) but im really not interested at all. Even for good value. I really think we need to add a defensive centre to be any kind of force going forward. We could be good with cousins sure but i dont think we'd ever be any danger to win anything.

I think Cousin, as long as we keep Thompson, could be our version of early Rasheed. It is not a crazy thought to think he could be very productive in a better system. How does Cleveland keep the bulk of its core while acquiring Cousins?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Defensively i dont see how he could be anywhere near as effective as rasheed.

He has a nearly 7'5" wingspan, good bulk, and good footwork. The Kings could basically make a living at retarding player development. Put him in a system where the goal is winning games, and he has the potential to be a borderline star player.

I know that Sac fans want to poo poo this, but it's the same issues that he's had since before he entered the league. The same issues in College and in High School. Sure he's got talent if he gets it but man things are heavily weighted to the idea that he'll never get it at this point and I guarantee he'll never get it in Sacramento. Kinda like Sheed was never going to get it in Portland.

On a different note, the Kings offered us Isaiah Thomas for the 19th pick.

if the draft pick was a $20 bill, I'd rather light it on fire.

I can't imagine the Cavs would give up a 1st for another PG, unless it was a veteran leader (like Andre Miller).
