Yeah I read an article about that. Apparently the car they were in was mangled so bad it didn't resemble a car anymore.

Yeah I read they got caught by a satellite tornado that was part of an EF3 I believe? Another team of chasers from a local news station got caught in the same one too but luckily they survived. Really sad, I remember watching these guys on Storm Chasers on Discovery a few years ago. Tim's team was the most level-headed/cautious out of the bunch, genuinely out there for research rather than to get an an adrenaline spike. Unfortunately they didn't have a tank-like vehicle like Sean Casey's TIV or Reed Timmer's Dominator so the risk factor increased quite a bit I imagine.
