charlotte trade question

Post#1 » by chocodog » Thu May 30, 2013 3:39 am

based on a realgm article, bobcats are rumored to be interested in Cousins. I'm not concerned with the validity of the article or the likelihood that kings would accept and offer.

Simply, I would like to know who would you like to see the kings draft at #4 if the team were to trade cousins for the bobcats pick? let's say the first three played out like this...

1)Noel
2)Mclemore
3)Porter

would you must want to see Olidipo? Bennet? Burke? someone else?

Only player I would want to see is Porter but he is already gone in your order.

I would move them to Seattle if they traded DMC for the 4 pick but hypothetically I would take the best big either Len or Zeller or Burke. Either way, it's a loss for Sac.

If im stuck with a deal like this I would draft burke with the 4th pick and zeller with the 7th. I would be very un happy with it all but I guess that is making the best of the situation.

Of all the teams mentioned to be interested in Cuz; the only one I would entertain are the Cavs!!!

Something along the lines of the #1, Varejao and CJ Miles

Trade with the Magic swaping #1 with #2 and also acquiring Andrew Nicholson

Take Otto Porter with the #2 pick

take CJ McCollum with the #7 pick

Trade Thompson & Thornton to the Mavs for Marion, Crowder & #13

Take Rudy Gobert with #13

Kings Roster

PG- McCollum, IT
SG- Reke, CJ Miles
SF- Porter, Marion, Crower
PF- Patterson, Nicholson
C- Varejao, Gobert, Hayes

If Cousins is traded, I think this would be a good route to go; aiming towards a definite playoff team in 2016 for the new building. This roster doesn't eliminate the Kings flexibility going forward.

I don't think Orl cares about #1. They want McLemore or Burke and both will be there at #2.

if the bobcats wanted cousins I'd say, MKG (or Walker), the 4th pick, and their 2nd round pick. at least. Then i'd draft Oladipo. (Sign and) trade Tyreke and JT to the Suns for the 5th pick and Luis Scola. Draft Burke. Draft Cody Zeller with our pick. Trade IT and Bobcats 2nd to the Jazz for their 1st rd pick and take Mason Plumlee (or Tim Hardaway Jr.)
starters:
Burke
Oladipo
MKG
Scola
Zeller

Bench:
Jimmer
Thornton
Salmons
Patterson
Hayes/Plumlee

that's only if the new ownership wants a complete rebuild though lol

Bobcat fans said they wouldn't even give up MKG straight up for Cousins, Kemba too.

We'd give up some combination of 4th pick, DET 1st, POR 1st, Bismack Biyombo, taking a bad contract. Not all obviously but those are assets we'd be willing to barter with. No chance of us moving Kemba or MKG.

only in a video game would a team make that many draft day trades. maybe not even there.

:o   How would you guys feel about trade checker 6276326? (Henderson and Mullens and #4 for Cousins/Douglas and #36) You guys then have your choice of all 2013 draft centers and Burke at 4 and 7. a starting PF/Center in Mullens and a starting 2 Hendo to either resign or walk for cap space.. We would probably pickup Wolters as a backup point at 36. MJ and our new coach Clifford can deal with DC and if we sign Ewing as an assistant maybe we can mold him into the Elite Player he wants to become. We know first hand with Tyrus Thomas about having a player on the Roster who really doesn't want to be here. :banghead:

It's not a legal trade as both Henderson and Mullens are free agents. Essentially, Charlotte would have to pick the guy at #4 for Sacramento, and then HOPE UPON HOPE that Henderson and Mullens WANT to go to Sacramento, AND negotiate a deal that is palatable to the Kings, or they've just drafted someone at #4 for the Kings that Charlotte may not want themselves and ultimately be stuck with if the Kings walk away from Henderson and/or Mullens.

Return to Sacramento Kings
