Chandler
Felton
Shumpert
2013 first round pick
for
CP3
Knicks would also lose JR Smith to free agency
and I don't think we become a better team if we trade 3 starters and lose the ability to sign JR Smith. Also I do feel Shumpert has all-star potential. and Knicks have a horrible medical staff just look at Allan Houston, Mcdyess, Amare. Our franchise players never get over their knee issues so that makes me extremely concerned about signing CP3. I'm not saying he's damaged goods I'm just saying out medical staff stinks.
With all that being said I think it would be in both teams interests to not try and make this trade, do you think there is anyway it could happen?
Thats a horrible trade for the clippers. Im sorry but that only benefits the knicks. if this would ahve been a top 3 pick then maybe i would give it a few seconds look, but at the spot the knicks would draft i laughed at this trade sorry bro

Re: Cp3 pissed
forget the draft pick, this trade have us paying more than 20 million on 2 centers and neither can score or spread the floor for blake. felton has worse advanced stats across the line than bledsoe, and shumpert is a walking disaster with 106 defensive ratings and less than 0.100 winshare.
ehhhhh f it.

1) not sure if we can sign and trade
2) don't think any GM out there would give up equal value in talent.
Regarding (1), yes. Regarding (2), that's likely to be the problem.
Besides return value, the team receiving CP3 via a S&T deal cannot end up above the luxury tax apron upon completion of the trade (which includes salaries, minimum roster cap holds, FA cap holds, and 1st round pick cap holds). Because of various cap holds during the offseason, this could reduce the number of quality teams being on the receiving end of a S&T player.
