Just spitballin ideas....

Utah out:
Milsap s&t front loaded contract and a pick

in
Lowry, Caron Butler

Utah adds a legit pg and some solid wing depth.

LAC out:
Bledsoe and Butler

in
Granger

LAC adds scoring on the wings and outside shooting to spread floor for their bigmen.

Indy out:
Granger

in
Bargnani, Derozan

Indy adds scoring and depth at the wing and the bigman spots.

Toronto out:
Demar, Bargnani

In
Bledsoe, Millsap, Utah Pick

Toronto balances roster a bit and adds a legit starting pf and young pg with lots of potential. Use MLE to fill out roster

Bledsoe, MLE
Fields, Ross
Gay/MLE
Millsap/Amir/Acy
JV/Gray

I wouldn't be willing to take both of them. I like them individually, but not together. And JV is virtually untouchable.

No thanks. I'm only really interested in pairing Cousins with JV. Kings organization said the other day they aren't trading him and either way, it's a no if Val is involved.

what about this cheap way to fill out our roster.

To TOR: Travis Outlaw + Jj Berea
To SAC: Landry Fields + Chris Johnson
To MIN: Chuck Hayes

we would get Outlaw & Berea for Fields which costs us about 1+ million more per year but we fill out the roster.

Sacramento would get a SF (position they've lacked) and save money each year

Minnesota would clear their glut of PGs and get a defensive guy in Hayes to spell Love/Pek

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Brand new idea.

Andrea Bargnani

for

Gerald Green
Ian Mahimi
1st round pick

the Pacers bench aint too good and I think Bargs could be a great sixth man for them. Ujiri can try and pick a gem.

To Toronto: Derrick Williams + JJ Berea + Malcom Lee + #26
To Minnesota: Andrea Bargnani + Terrence Ross

makes a lot of sense for both teams. Its not ideal for me as id like to keep Ross (if we could do the deal without him (they keep the pick & Lee) id jump for joy)

The money is about the same for both.

Minnesota gets a SG they sorely lack and who fits beside Rubio nicely. Bargnani provides offense off the bench for them and both players add scoring from the perimeter which they need.

Toronto takes a chance on Derrick Williams, they get into the draft this year and Ujiri is typically a good drafter late in rounds. We get a backup PG for Lowry as well.

Kyle Lowry / Jj Berea
Demar Derozan / SG / Malcom Lee
Rudy Gay / Landry Fields
Amir Johnson / Derrick Williams / Quincy Acy
Jonas Val / Aaron Gray

Not a chance for MN considers this.

Williams has more value than Ross. JJ, Lee and a late 1st have more value than Bargs.

Likely comes down to who MN selects at 9, if they grab someone like Len or Zeller there's no interest. Also likely the Wolves don't view Hayes as $1 million more valuable than JJ this season and $1.5 million next. With a number of teams looking for a backup PG they may simply be able to move him for an expiring if they choose. Not bad but not much incentive to pay an extra $1 million this year and $1.5 million next, especially if they near the lux tax post Pek contract.

I could see a match with Utah and Bargnani with a sign and traded Millsap or Jefferson. MIllsap would obviously be the 1st choice. But what other bigs do you guys think Masai could trade for or would sign for the MLE? Carl Landry but i think that was BC who was interested in him.

I like that a lot, but I'm not sure Indiana is looking to add that much salary. It'll be interesting to see what they get for Granger.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ls2elgq

Knicks receive:
Rudy Gay
Bargnani
Jason Thompson

Raptors receive:
John Salmons
Marcus Camby
Chuck Hayes
James White
Jason Kidd's contract (if possible)

Kings receive:
Amar'e Stoudemire

For Knicks - Rudy Gay slides into being what he's suppose to be, a 2nd option. Still young & athletic enough to be a good starter in a line-up featuring a true star in Melo & up & commer in Shumpert. Shump, Gay, & Melo on a fast break would be nice to see. Bargnani & Thompson are toss ins to take salaries off the other teams hands.

For Raptors - clean rebuild & get out of Bargnani' deal. If J. Kidd's deal can be dealt before official retiring then that's a plus for the Raptors in which that's cap space this yr with James White off the books, which would make it about a 9 million dollar savings this yr & another 17 mil off the books next yr with Salmons, Camby & Hayes all having team options after next season. Also helps the tank for this upcoming season in a good draft next season.
Maybe throw in a future 1st from the Knicks.

For Kings - new owners, bring in a big name for the next 2 seasons in Amar'e. get out of Jason Thompson's 5 yr deal.

Thoughts? Critiques?

Knicks get the best player out of deal (Gay), and give up the worst contract? WTF? Also, no picks coming our way at all, as I am assuming this deal puts us in the rebuilding phase.

Will be interesting to see which direction Utah goes with its free agents. I think they'd want compensation to take on Andrea - maybe a pick swap option in the 2014 draft would be enough to sweeten the pot.

MU should target a top 3-4 pick and grab oladipo from Indiana .... should be the shut own perimeter defender you need to win

Oladipo + Wiggins + Val

That's a championship level core

I'd look to Washington to get the #3 pick by taking on some of their big contracts

We need to draft high in the 2014 draft so anything that compromises that pick is an automatic "no".

That makes no sense for us with Rudy Gay here... it also leaves us with a BIG hole at PG.

I would rather try to package Lowry with another guy for someone like Jennings. He wants to come to Toronto, there's no doubt about it. I honestly think Miwaukee would deal Jennings in a sign and trade for Lowry straight up. If we need to add more salary, we can include Kleiza's expiring deal on July 1st.

Jennings for Lowry and Kleiza.. and try to fish out Ersan for Bargnani somehow.

Jennings/FA
DeRozan/FA
Gay/Fields
Ilyasova/Amir
Valanciunas/FA

Fair enough. Nothing but cap relief with that trade proposal.

How about this?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mpqvubf

Knicks receive:
Rudy Gay
Eric Gordon
A. Bargnani
Josh Freeland
Lines Kleiza

Raptors receive:
Amar'e Stoudemire
Marcus Camby
Robin Lopez
#6 pick (from NO)
#24 (from NYK)
Future 1st (from NYK - top 10 protection)

Pelicans receive:
Kyle Lowry
Wesley Matthews
Landry Fields
#10 pick (from POR)

Blazers receive:
Tyson Chandler
James White
Quincy Acy

For Knicks - the obvious. They go all in to compete against Miami but getting a 2nd & a 3rd option. Letting Gay & Gordon battle it out for 2nd option. Also take as much bad contracts from the other teams involved as possible.

For Raptors - save about 9 - 10 mil this season but another 4.5 next season with Camby coming off the books. Getting a higher pick than what they would have originally had. Could target Burke, McLemore or Oladipo. Also can target some falling talent with the #24 pick. Plus future asset. Cleans out for new rebuild. Though Amar'e isn't the same Amar'e, he puts full effort & heart into every minute unlike Bargnani, which is a good change of culture.

For Pelicans - Gets out of Gordon's deal. A nice group of players to go out with Anthony Davis, the top 10 pick they'll still have & those new jerseys. Adds no salary, just new dimensions to team.

For Blazers - gets their true defensive Center for only their draft pick (which they're willing to trade for such player as said on wiretap) & Wesley Matthews. Also dropping Freeland's deal.

Return to Toronto Raptors
