There is a key difference between Jennings and Teague. Jennings is available, Teague is not. The odds are Jennings will not return to Milwaukee, the chances of Teague leaving Atlanta are almost 0. Only scenario I see is if Dwight and Chris Paul decide to go together to Atlanta.

For the record I believe Teague will be an allstar in the very near future. If you can trade Knight for a mid 1st rder teague would be a great FA to go after.

The downside is that if the Hawks match theres a good chance several FAs will be gone before that cap space opens up.

Teague might be okay, though I feel he might get more slack by being on a team we don't scrutinize every game. I liked what I saw out of Jack during the Playoffs personally. I would like to bring in Jack if we Draft a SF/SG.

bump

i still dont understand why Teague is not the no.1 target this offseason. With all the talk about SFs, who would earn 8 figures and are all questionalbe fits, Teague is not only a proven PG but could fill a great need and is a great fit, is still young and should improve, he did it every year he is in the league. Yes he is restricted, but out of all free agents here is a guy where you can get the most value for the Pistons if you want to spend a lot of money. You worry about Knight later, if you can get a guy like Teague.

Teague is a good player but I think he would be hard to acquire. I personally think that BK has a higher ceiling than him though.

Teague knows how to pick n roll. Also how to pass. Those seem like good qualities in PG.

I have a feeling Knight would have played well with that ATL core too.

I really like Teague, he can pass, he can shoot, he's a solid defender. He's not outstanding but he's a solid starting PG, which would be an upgrade for us.

ATL just drafted Schroeder so Im unsure if they think Teague is their PGOTF

Every PG option Joe looks at, he should be asking himself, "Can he throw alley-oops?" I really don't have problems with Knight besides his lob passing. It's sad.

I'd throw 4/40 at Teague and hope we price him out of Atlanta's range.

He's shown improvement in every seasons so far, and has elite quickness. Could bloom late and become an elite player, worst case, he's an above average PG that doesn't hurt us on either side of the ball.

Let him and Knight battle it out for the starting position.

I'd take him if we signed Smith and traded for Gay with BK in the package for Gay.
