He shot like 29 and 36% from college 3 three last two years. You really think he'll be that prolific of a shooter in the NBA?

I feel like Nerlens Is a good pick for a team looking to be in the top of the lottery again next year. He'll miss half the year rehabbing and is so raw that the earliest he could be a solid starter is likely after next year anyways. I know one thing, if whoever drafts him lands Wiggins, Parker or Randle they'll have one or the brightest futures in the league imo.

DraftExpress says he shot 37.7% from 3 pt last year and 30.4% his freshman year. And he shot a lot more of them than McLemore or Oladipo. He also had a lot weaker supporting cast, so he likely faced a lot more defensive attention. He is the same age as McLemore and younger than Oladipo.

I watched 90% of georgias games. hes got range beyond the nba line, never seen him miss when he was wide open, and he had to jack up a lot of shots on that horrid team.... klay Thompson is one of the 6 or 7 ELITE shooters in the NBA, so maybe hes not quite that elite, but he can get there I think. hes great at running off screens and moving without the ball just like Thompson and he has a sweet stroke

I've watched more video of him and I guess he's better than I thought. It still worries me that seemingly all of his moves are there to get jump shots. Other than fast breaks I'm not sure I've seen him in the paint.

College defenders are never as good as advertised, especially on the perimeter. He's semi-interesting I suppose.

I suspect KCP will end up going to the Wolves at 9.

Portland's pick will be among a group of 5-6 players for after picks 7-9 can go in
any order. I'd prefer if we picked a perimeter player, that player would be more
of a slasher than another jump shooter for we already have three such players
in Lillard, Wes and Nic (along with LA) on the roster who are jump shooters. It
could be a reason why Shabazz could end up being the pick for that's a player
who physically attacks the rim which is something we will be lacking next
season.

Portland has a need for a guy that can come in and fill it up off the bench. I think KCP would thrive in that role as a rookie. Thanks for the insight Nickforthree!

also, anyone who has some free time and is interested in KCP should watch this game: http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/_/id/832662/

his last college game, truly an "on fire" performance. if your not on the KCP bandwagon you will be after watching it. you will also get to see how little talent Georgia had.

Question. Would you rather CJ or KCP coming off the bench? I like both, but believe CJ is a lot more dynamic.

KCP is a little younger and is a true SG - so he has the higher potential.

CJ will be the better ball handler, and would be a better fit for us.

That's along the lines i was thinking. For me, I think CJ is my most hopeful selection if we keep the pick.

Just take whoever the Wolves leave for us. I'd be happier though if McCollum were
the pick for he's more of a slasher as opposed to Pope who is another stand up
jump shooter.

Undersized scoring guards have pretty high bust potential. CJ is also not a great athlete. He could turn out like Steph Curry, as his 3pt shot percentage is amazing. But he could also be a guy who can't defend the position and has trouble scoring over NBA size. But, one extra positive to CJ is that it would allow the Blazers to let Maynor go and free up more cap room for a free agent.

I think CJ will score but he is weak defensively as is Lillard. He's probably my BPA if he were at 10 but he's certainly not perfect. He and Lillard would put up a ton of points together but I'd fear we would get run through on defense.

Definitely see him coming off the bench for a couple seasons for that reason. Could be a instant offense 6th man.

It's not like we have a choice between Pope and CJ but I'm skeptical CJ will
get to 10 for Sac and Detroit (at 7,8) also need a guard.

I understand Gobert worked for Sacramento today and perhaps will be here in the
next 1-2 days. Should be an interesting two weeks for we've only had one
lottery player (Pope) workout for us and the bulk of the mid to late lottery
players should be coming through.

Very true. I definitely believe pop will be there though. In a dream scenario, they both would be there. Also, if they are, it could be a hot spot for teams to trade for. Win-Win for us.
