That makes no sense for us with Rudy Gay here... it also leaves us with a BIG hole at PG.

I would rather try to package Lowry with another guy for someone like Jennings. He wants to come to Toronto, there's no doubt about it. I honestly think Miwaukee would deal Jennings in a sign and trade for Lowry straight up. If we need to add more salary, we can include Kleiza's expiring deal on July 1st.

Jennings for Lowry and Kleiza.. and try to fish out Ersan for Bargnani somehow.

Jennings/FA
DeRozan/FA
Gay/Fields
Ilyasova/Amir
Valanciunas/FA

Well, it would mean that Rudy would be shipped off for a pick or something to address the PG position, or for Eric Bledsoe down in LA once Paul re-signs.

Bledsoe
DeRozan
Granger
Johnson
Valanciunas

Ya dig?

Oladipo + Wiggins + Val

That's a championship level core

I'd look to Washington to get the #3 pick by taking on some of their big contracts

I'd love to. I just don't think we have the assets necessary to acquire #3 from Washington.

But for what it's worth, I think Oladipo will be a player in this league.

What y'all think of Bledsoe + Butler's expiring for Rudy Gay, principally?

Flip Lowry for a pick or something.

If we decide to retool, rebuild, tank etc, I would be extremely interested in a deal exactly like this.

The goal IMO should be to pair JV with another young stud or two, and this helps that angle plus it sheds salary.

It would be a massive coup if we could get Washington's pick and drafted Oladipo + 2014 pick + Val would be a great core.

Thinking back, I'm glad Bargnani got injured and thus prevented BC from trading him. I wouldn't trust BC to make a good trade involving his prized possession. Would have been horrible if we got Boozer or Gasol. I trust Masai more. At least I'm convinced Masai would consider the amnesty if a trade, that doesn't hurt the team, can't be done.

Why would Washington trade for Demar? They have Bradley Beal. They will probably use their pick on Otto Porter.

Wall/Beal/Porter makes more sense than...

Wall
Beal/DeRozan
Gay

The Wizards don't want any of those players. And even we did, we sure as hell wouldn't give up a lotto pick to do it. I'd maybe do Ariza for Amir Johnson...that's about it. Other than that, no interest in any one on the Toronto roster except for Valucianas and to a much lesser degree, Johnson.

if we are going into the luxary tax then I dont see the point in tanking. what about a swop with Orlando..

Bargnani + DeRozan + Fields for Afflalo, Nelson, Davis

Lowry - Nelson
Afflalo - Ross
Gay - Anderson
Davis - Amir
JV - MLE

If we want to get into this draft Lowry is the easiest way. Lowry for the Bucks #15 is a logical fit. Milwaukee is obsessed with getting playoff spots, so replacing Jennings with Lowry works for them. Utah's #14 pick also works as a trade partner. Worst case scenario is probably Utah's #21.

Wiz fan here.
No offence but I don't see any 1st round picks being moved in a trade with our two teams.
If you really want to ditch A.B. this is the deal that I would see to be adequate from our point of view. Not sure you will like it or not.
NENE, Jan, Singleton, #54
for
A.B., Johnson, Ross.
We are giving you a great big man in NENE, and two young forwards, who are basically expiring since you can decline their options next summer.
Since we are taking on dead weight that we will either have to pay to walk or just let sit on the bench, taking those contracts and giving use NENE's replacement with Ross. seems fair also Ross and Singleton can be removed from the deal if needed. I guess it just depends on how desperate you are to trade A.B. I doubt any one is going to give you a good deal for him.

Thats **** disgusting. Get the **** out of here.

Nene is waaaay more dead weight for the Raptors than Andrea. At least we can amnestly Andrea. Nene is in a major decline and has a disgusting contract. Jan Vesely and Singleton are scrubs at this points. Both are on their way out of the league. #54 pick. Get serious.

Bargnani is garbage but ....

Amir Johnson is a **** bonifide stud. This guy is the heart and soul of the organization. He is a ruthless and excellent defender, and he is extrememly effiecent on offense with a nice looking and ever improving jumpshot. He is also deadly in pick and rolls. He makes 6 millions a year. And is like 25 years old. This guy is a **** great asset. He has a ton of value around the NBA. Every single team in the league would love to have Amir on their team. He has embraced this team and city more than any other player in 18 years.

Terrence Ross was definety hit and miss this year but showed very promising flashes in the very few minutes he got. His laterall quickness is off the charts and his pure athleticism is to die for. Add to that the foundation of a beautul jumpshot and its a mtter of time before he becomes a good player in the league.

Seriously. That trade proposal is one of the worst i may have ver seen in my history of being on message boards and that dates back a long time.
