Ray Allen and the finals.

Post#1 » by heatchamp45 » Tue Jun 4, 2013 1:29 pm

First of all my apologies to ray allen for saying hes done. My bad. :(

He showed why he is a hall of famer in game 7 against the pacers. The man from 3 point land.

The finals_______________________Heat against the Spurs...........

First of all the pacers are a better defending team than the spurs especially from the 3 point land.

Keys to the game.

1. Bosh needs to outplay duncan

2. Chalmers...........no turnovers.

3. Ray allen hit the 3.

4. Lebron be lebron and don't let up.

5. Insert battier.

6. Haslem needs to keep up the great defense and occational score.

7. Wade to play like wade............He showed signs of the old wade in game 7 against the pacers.

8. Outrebound them or at least keep it close.

9. And finnally coaching......................Spo needs to do a good job of creating plays and calling timeouts at the right time.....Control the pace of the game and clock. :D

PS. Its not going to be easy to beat the spurs but IMHO i believe we match up better against them than against indiana.

JMO though..............What do you think?

GO HEAT.

If bosh outposts Duncan we will destroy the spurs. So that probably wont happen.

Maybe not the entire series...just get the best of him a few games. Make him work.

I think Bosh showed this last game that if you play him in the post he can produce. He was a monster on the board when allowed to camp the post that first half.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

You know what's going to be the difference between Hibbert and Duncan? Duncan is actually going to miss his jumpers.

duncan is a much better matchup for Bosh, basically 2 PF's playing center. We will see Heat bball again in this series, I really don't see this series going very long to be honest. It's a great matchup for us and a very bad matchup for them.

But did you see the Pacers taking it to 7? I sure as hell didn't.

Yes...Bosh has done more than hold his own against Duncan the past few years... He's even looked really good but the playoffs are a different monster so we'll see.

I don't see him struggling in the way he did with Hibbert though. Just was not a good matchup for him or his confidence.

I think Ray and Battier are going to be huge this series.

LeBron *COULD* play his best finals ever.

I did see the pacers game going to 6 or 7 games.

I think its going to be a tough battle to beat the spurs. But imo the pacers are far worst to beat than the spurs. If the heat play heat ball we should have this.

The pacers were just much bigger and stronger than the heat. thank god for haslem and the birdman with the tough defense.

And thank god lebron pulled that first game off or else we would be going home now.

It was so close. The pacers had the best games of their season and hibbert played like a superstar and so did west. They couldnt miss.

Man I hope Ray brings the same effort he did last night, when his shot is falling it spreads the floor so much more for LeBron/Wade.

Yeah...last series a lot of guys just flat out struggled to score the ball. Offensively we shouldn't see that issue here.

On the other hand this series should test the teams ability to defend inside and OUT...

Looking back at the SAS/Grizz series guys were knocking down shots and Parker just flat out killed them on P&R. They allowed MEM a few chances to get back in towards the end of games but Grizzlies could never capitalize.

The spurs don't defend the 3 as well as the pacers could be a big series for our shooters.

I have a feeling we might see something similar to this from Ray Allen. Don't ask me why or how, just got that feeling. It's bound to happen sometime. If not RayRay, Battier and/or Miller will get hot.

I hope in terms of shooting percentages and ability to knock down the open 3 ya. But we all know he wont get that many touches, but when he does he needs to make them count. Hes a big piece in getting our offense rolling its jsut another weapon that LeBron/Wade love to hit.

Also although weve all done our fair share of hating, his defense last round really wasnt all that bad.

Did you know after this game, Ray went 0-13, then missed 16 STRAIGHT 3's (did not make a 3 for 3 games)? I wouldn't harp on this lol. I just ask personally he hits the KEY shots, like when we need a lead or trying to come back from behind. ESPECIALLY wide open shots.

It all depends on who is guarding Ray, and it's possible he can go off because he is NOT one of our main guy's like he was in Boston. Spurs have to worry about the Big 3 THEN Ray.

Ray Allen says return to finals validation for offseason move

There was some reports yesterday that Ray Allen was considering opting out of his contract for next season in Miami because he wanted to return to Boston. Among the flaws of this rumor was the presumption that the Celtics organization wants him back. Besides, Ray Allen is where he wants to be — back in…

“Yeah, it does,” he said. “When we sat down and we talked about it, we being my family and the people that supported me over my life, we talked about being selfish and giving ourselves the best opportunity to win. We wanted to win, we didn’t want to be in a situation where we were going to struggle. Sitting here in this situation, it’s a great relief. Because sometimes you take a gamble. Your family believes in you, and we’re here and I can say that we’re in the situation we put ourselves in and we’re happy with it. We know that we can see the end of the road.”
