YUP YESS - Hov

thought the ump was just giving him some home cooking/ helping him out for the debut.
nope.
right call.

i hate going into series saying we need to sweep.
i like to take these things game by game.
but we've been garbage in our division.
we need to get in dat @$$ tomorrow and in Kerhsaw's start.

no we need a sweep. we win tomorrow and we are still a half game behind the madres. we have to win all 3, get out of the basement of NLW, then go into the next 7 home games against the tough braves and dirtbags and come out at least 5-2, only then we still have a realistic shot of going on the road to hunt down the rest of NLW. we can say whatever we want to say about being mathematically alive, but with 1/3 of the season done and being this far out of the lead as the worst team of the division requires not only our team getting hot but all 4 other teams getting cold through out the season with relatively long losing streaks. that is mathematical improbability. we get up to the middle of the standings in next 30 games or so with 6 games or so back and only a team or two we need to catch up, then anything can happen for the second half of the season. we go into the half way point and still the last in our division with still 10 games back or more, it will take a once in a decade type miracle to get us back in the chase.
ehhhhh f it.

yea, i wanted 2-1 on the rockies...but the pen is full of a bunch of f***boys.

I'm not really scared being 7.5 behind.
we just need to get hot...and win our division games from here on out. that type of ground can be made up from here until september. But it wont be made up if we don't start wrecking teams in our division.

if this team is serious about their business, they wont lose another NL West series for the rest of the year...oh and they'll sweep this series

7.5 behind with 2 teams ahead ain't that big of a deal. being that much out with all other teams in your division is.

*for the sake of argument, odds of all teams of winning and losing at .500. the actual odds would be each current team's winning percentage, which makes our odds worse.

7.5 game back odds of catching up 1 team ahead of you takes

1/2 odds of your team winning times 1/2 odds of the team ahead of you losing
={(1/2)X(1/2)}^7.5

7.5 game back odds of catching up all 4 other teams ahead of you takes

1/2 of your team winning times 1/2 of each team you are chasing losing
={(1/2)X[(1/2)x(1/2)x(1/2)x(1/2)]}^7.5

you see, the first set of odds are much, much easier to achieve than the second set of odds. as each day passes by and we are still at the very bottom, there are lesser games to achieve the improbable odds. we have to gain some grounds first before it's too late.

we're gonna have this RISP problem for the entire year.

i just realized it.
there will never be this shining moment where we just get it and it all clicks and we just start balling.

I'm over it.

btw...why don't you ever ask for Ned to get Lilly off our team?

I've never liked I'm and never wanted him.

hope this team realizes that you don't need to get it all back in one inning.

a run here, a run there and some zeroes will work just fine.
