An accountant major with a 3.6 GPA including three perfect 4.0 semesters seems pretty smart to me. Not a genius, but smart? Yes

I tend to agree with you that if I had his injury history and was trying to make a comeback, I'd look for the team that has the best trainers and med staff.

But maybe Oden is of a different mind set and is thinking that his renewed career as a basketball player could be short-lived regardless of the medical staff. Given his injury history and the skeletal instabilities he apparently has, maybe he does not want to spend his time on a rebuilding team (Suns) unless it is his home town team (Clev) and if he were to play for a team away from Cleveland, he'd want to be on a contender (Miami).

Either approach is legitimate.

One other point. Read the blog again. His 3.6 gap with 3 semesters of 4.0 gpa was for high school. He was an aspiring accounting major at the time he earned these grades. I do not believe he spent 3 semesters in college.

I noticed McD looks heaps like Jim Carrey especially in Cable Guy. Might find photos later when I'm on the laptop not the phone

Bynum is just trash right now. Rubble. Rest in piece (one piece) :) All I can see from McD - there are two ways: we sign both CP3 and D12 (or JSmoove), or we draft few players and slowly develop.
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

Intellegent and smart aint the same thing. Accountant major... yes Intellegent.... Self posted naked pics from an injured player and reports that he slipped into alcaholisim, not to mention not going to the best med staff in the nba... not exactly smart.

Not really. with the education putting so much emphasis in standardized and multiple choice tests grades are more indicative of rote memorization, putting in hard work, but not necessarily intelligence. Also, how fair and leniently a professor to professor grades is a huge factor in GPA.

fun fact: Ron Artest was a math major in college.
