It's them and the B.S. Report for me. Along with all my npr podcasts.

The last two-parter was simply great. I bet some guys on this board would love Jalen Rose's rant on Larry Brown.

what did he say? i always love some larry brown bashing.

Listen from about 27:15 to understand the context. It doesn't go on for too long.

Jalen talks about Brown playing mind tricks with him and not letting him play. Then the three continue the discussion by bashing Brown for the way he left the Pistons. Some good stuff.

is it in poor taste to call the cops on your neighbors for having a dog chained up in their backyard directly beneath my bedroom window. the dog has barked non-stop the past two nights in the 2am to 4am range. apparently the guy is keeping the dog for his son who is out of town, but for how long, who knows. the dog has been there for about a week. its a pit bull. their backyard is really long and the dog is in the very back. much closer to my townhouse than their house, maybe 30 feet from my window and a good 200 fee to their house. they are in a different subdivision so i have no idea who they are. its really really annoying.

Does anybody have any Bobcats patches laying around collecting dust? I take embroidered patches and sew them onto my disc golf bags. I am ruefully short of my favorite sports' teams so if anybody has a Bobcats (or Hornets) patch floating around (like an old shirt or hat that is trashed for example) and wants to do me a solid, hit me up.

Here's an example (not my bag):

You have to have over 100 posts to start a thread, so the mods gave him that and then some.

this podcast was solid gold, for the larry brown stuff and lots of other stuff as well. also, the things that jalen said about larry's contacts around the league, and the coming torrent of "so-and-so franchise has contacted larry brown for _____ role in the organization".... WOW. look at the wiretap headlines. could not be more prescient.

http://hoopspeak.com/2013/05/theories-on-why-you-dont-like-the-spurs/

The problem with basketball strategy is that many hoops lovers don’t want basketball to be about basketball strategy. This sport is about individual accomplishment. How many rings does Kobe have? Can he catch Michael? Is LeBron the new MJ? How does he prove he’s a “winner” with “killer instinct”? This way of viewing the NBA conceives of team success as resultant from individual will or genius. It’s a world apart from appreciating how San Antonio’s Motion Weak offense probes defenses till someone like Danny Green gets an open 3.

Well I just read this quote from an article about why people 'hate' the spurs. Sounds familiar right? It could have been lifted straight from the Gen Board.
How hard would it be to have a sound 'Coaching corner' style board or just single threads dedicated to explaining and breaking down offensive and defensive plays/schemes used by different teams and what players run the best specific plays etc. Coming from someone who never played a lot of ball in my younger days and only still plays pick up games, I would find this as pretty interesting stuff.

It would be better to tell them face to face if you can find them. But if you can't, or if they don't do anything about it, then: No, it's not in poor taste. They are being extremely inconsiderate.
