Well that would be a better offer, but adding Afflalo to that just to get Perkins would be terrible. I still rather not give up the #2 pick, but at least your trade gives a good amount of value back for it.

The original offer was #12, Lamb and #29

Oh okay, I just saw the one you posted with Afflalo and Perkins in it. I like the original offer better.

So this offer is officially on the table for Hennigan? What do you mean by original?

Noooooooooooooo...lol

This was hypothetical, on the Thunder board a guy said a deal between Orlando and OKC would take

#2, #51, Afflalo

for

Lamb, Perkins, #12 and #29
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

I am thinking about it. Lamb is definitely intriguing. But I want top 5 pick this draft so hopefully Noel, McLemore or Oladipo.

I am really excited about Noel and that is why I want a top 5. I know I have no knowledge of whatsoever but a defensive Big accompany with Vucevic is exciting.

I would take Jeremy Lamb + #12 + #29 over McLemore and Oladipo or Burke in a New York Minute.

Its basically SG Jeremy Lamb (instead of BMac) then certainly at least one of McCollum, Schroder or maybe Burke will be there also. Then you have #29 to grab the BTA

We have been over hyping Lamb for a year now and I still don't see why. Even after Westbrook down and Okc was guard lite, he still posted dnp-cds. If he was top 5 pick quality he'd get for time even on a veteran team like the thunder. The other problem is people spend so much time dissecting the top picks that they lose their appeal and people start longing for guys with less raw talent. The guy, whoever that ends up being, taken by our GM at 2 will be better than the combo of lamb and 12 barring injury or complete failure to scout by our team. Long story short, no way I do this trade.

#2, #51 and Aaron Afflalo to OKC
Afflalo has 13-14 (7.75), 14-15 (7.75) and 15-16 (7.94) left on his contract.
For
Jeremy Lamb, #12, #29 and Stonehands Perkins?
Perkins has 13-14 (8.98) and 14-15 (9.65) left on his contract.
Lamb has 13-14 (2.11), 14-15 (2.02), 15-16 (3.03) left on his rookie contract.

Hell no that's bad

Afflalo >> lamb
#2 pick >>#12
Perkins sucks
And we add salary?

I wouldn't. We don't need quantity. We need quality while we're near the top of the draft. As our roster progresses, we'll have plenty of opportunities picking in the teens and later. We need to focus on getting franchise players right now.

I would be worried about this deal even if it didn't include our 2 pick.

Nah, I wouldn't do that. It's doing them too much of a favour.

Upgrade #12 pick to #2
Upgrade Lamb to AA (ready to play now, locked into affordable deal, fits a need)
Gets them out of Perkins crappy deal

I'd consider AA + KO/Nicholson for Lamb + Perkins, though.

The outliers don't negate the rule. If our GM is the brilliant guy we all think he is then he can do more with the 2 than the 12.
