SF Pro Am: Kings repping but not Warriors?

Post#1 » by Frank Mulely » Thu Jun 6, 2013 6:51 pm

I remember when Nellie had a bunch of guys, Hardaway, a rookie Sprewell, Les Jepsen (LOL  ) etc. in the SF Pro Am at Kezar....I know they have the Las Vegas league but it's great for local goodwill for the guys to show up even once or twice! Look at the rosters.....Isaiah Thomas and Tyreke Evans are in it but no Warriors? Things done changed

Yeah the last thing we need is a blown knee playing at a pro am league....those games are for guys like Matt Barnes.

I think it was always really cool when several of the Warriors played in the SF Pro Am. There might be a little cautiousness surrounding this off season. The Warriors as a whole were pretty banged up and don't know how I would feel about any of our players, playing against these spares. When did Evans become 6'8"?

Gordon brothers will be playing. Great news for any former Archbishop Mitty students.

Steph, Bazemore and Barnes have all expressed an interest in playing. Whether Warriors let them or not is another story (particularly in Steph's case).

Hope they do. I might hit a few games this year just for old time's sake. Bay Pride is my squad!

Scary for Aaron Gordon to be playing...that guy is going to tear the pac12 a new one next year. He is off the charts special and he may have a Jason kidd like career in the NBA.....definition - a long NBA career from a Bay Area product.

If you guys have a chance, go to a game. It was free when I went and you basically sit on the court. It's down the street from me so I'll be going to a bunch.

He doesn't seem to have the same attitude as his bro, so he should be able to get further. Saw some Mitty games and he definitely has potential. Still finding out his game as he seems to like to dribble too much but his handles definitely need a lot of work.

As for dubs playing in this, I wouldnt mind seeing a bit of machado and bazemore and even beans here to get some run and get their groove. As for anyone else, they should rest and get healthy.
