Doesn't Karl hate the Lakers? I doubt he would even consider coaching for us (but then again.. D'Antoni hated us as well I guess).

I'd be very interested to see what he could do with this team, WE WANT KARL!

He sucks but is still way better than Mike.

I want Bernie. I know everyone is down on him because he hasn't got much experience but there is only one way to get experience. Let him coach:)

No pun intended here at all - as I love Phil as much as the next guy, but I think we have to be realistic here. I don't think there's a snow balls chance in hell that Phil is coming back "to coach" maybe as something else, but as to coach I doubt very much.

Interesting, you felt MDA out-coached Phil? My recollection was we were just out-manned in those Smush/Kwame years.

i think u read that wrong

Damnit. My bad.

Yall trippin for those who wouldn't take George Karl as our Coach.

Dude is a basketball genius, a superior motivator , defensive minded, and a solid offensive strategist.

He's not too far fetched in what Jim Buss wanted in bringing back showtime.
Karl has a fast break mentality as well but you can bet his style is more secure than MDA's SSOL garbage.

I'd fire D'antoni to bring in Karl in a split second.. Our roster doesn't fit either coaches style so you go with the guy who is a better leader.. He's had to adjust to some drastic roster shakeups over his career & figured out a way to win with what he had.. He's much better on the defensive side.. He's shown the ability to use post players effectively.. He's surely more respected by the players & would better be able to lead them due to that.. Really hope we get him.

Not really that high on Karl, so I'd rather look elsewhere.

Having said that, I can't see us switching coaches until MDA gets another try after a full training camp.

IMO Karl is not a good coach. Just because the media repeatedly states how great he is, doesn't make it true. Funny how he gets coach of the year and DEN lets him go. Should tell you all you need to know. Much rather have MDA.

Big ass hell to the NO. Karl is a general loser. Nice regular season coach but sucks major ass come playoffs.

Is offense the only things you guys know and worry about here?

I'd rather take a Nate McMillan who runs a structured defense and a pace controlled offense.
