I'm sure the Magic and Wolves will disscuss a trade (if they have't yet) , the question is whom are they willing to trade and if they'd like any of our veterans.

If CJ McCollum is still there at 9, I'd try to get something done for their #9 and #26.

I'd even test the waters on how bad they want him and try and get the #9 and Shved out of them.

Very interesting.. Many have said that perhaps McLemore was holding back as a freshman playing for one of the great coaches/universities and playing within Self's system. Very well could be the case. I think his game does translate a bit better to the NBA though.. way less zone, no hand-checking, and more open lanes. When you come from nothing like McLemore you just have that inner-fire. Gotta get him coached up.
The same thing was said about Westbrook, and no, I'm not saying Ben will be as good as Westbrook, My point is that Westbrook played within UCLA's system and his scouting report said that he needed to improve on creating off the dribble and as a passer if he wanted to play PG at the NBA level...Russell Westbrooks scouting report said that.

I wonder how this board would react if we don't select McLemore, Oladipo, or Burke.

It wouldn't bother me much. The way each player is being overrated though I could see other people having melt downs.

I'm high on Ben McLemore and I would be shocked if the Cavs took him, I'd be very sad

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. LV - NBA Draft Edition)
My guess. If the Cavs draft:
1. McLemore we probably draft Oladipo.
2. Oladipo we probably draft McLemore.
3. Noel we probably draft McLemore.
4. Porter we probably draft McLemore.

I would be pissed if they drafted McLemore, I'm on board with drafting him. Why would they draft him if they got Waiters?

Waiters projects with them off the bench as a 6th man more. McLemore spotting up with Kyrie creating could be dangerous.
I can't see them passing on Noel though. Although if they don't think he would be able to put on enough weight in the future to play the C position next to Thompson they may just.
Thompson has improved so much & i can't see Noel coming in & taking his spot at the 4. Porter & McLemore may just be in play more than we think with them.

if they take mclemore, we're either taking noel or trading the pick to a team that wants him.

That's true, but then again he had a late pick last year. Generally speaking the top of a draft the order is easier to predict.
All I know is I can't wait.

I think it would be funny if they drafted him, 3 years in a row in the high lottery they make a WTF pick.

or it could be a smokescreen. maybe they know we're high on ben and are putting that out there in an attempt to get an assest out of us and make a trade.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. LV - NBA Draft Edition)
if this was a stronger draft I would agree with you. Maybe henny selects a guy he likes instead of the consensus? Or maybe the guy he likes is the consensus guy, either way the draft can't get here fast enoughtranjSAIC wrote:Bobby Ray wrote:Or Henny will go against the grain and pick someone nobody expects just like he did last year
