Paul Millsap

Anybody have an idea of what he would be requesting this free agency period, and what he'll likely be offered/receive from teams around the league? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think he's going to ask for 12, receive 10, and deserve neither. There will be a lot of sign-and-trade interest, I'm betting, but Utah is going to be very selective about the dollars it takes back, making a team with open cap space the most likely landing spot.

Last year the Jazz offered an extension of 3 years for $25M, max extension allowed under CBA. He is obviously looking for more money than that, but the extension seems to be in the range consistent with the CBA.

I think he's looking for 12-13 per. I can't imagine him getting less than David West, though. I think on the right team he is worth 12m a season. I think if you get him for 10 you're getting a good deal. With all the money out there in free agency, I think there's a good shot some team throws a big offer at him after they've struck out with a couple more prominent FAs.

Thanks for the responses fellas. I'm honestly just trying to find a realistic way of bringing Millsap to the 76ers in a new NBA 2k13 season lol. Looks like the MLE is out of the question.

Do you think your management would be interested in a return of expirings, and young cheap players? Any combo of players out of this group....Hawes, Justin Holiday, Lavoy Allen, Moultrie, #35 & #42 (already selected of course) and future picks?? :eyebrows:

That's a bit much, don't you think?

On the right team Millsap would be extremely valuable coming off the bench.

Somebody wants him on their video game, I bet it is as a backup, no one asked the guy. I said I wouldn't pawn him off because Milssap will probably demand to be a starter or he will pout. It really bothers me to think of him like that, but that seems to be his character. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people will want him as a back up on their video game, haha.

He would be, but unfortunately, Millsap will never come off the bench without pouting. Wish he'd embrace his destiny as a good bench player...
