if they take mclemore, we're either taking noel or trading the pick to a team that wants him.

Nobody wants Noel. If they did, then the Cavs would be making that trade themselves.

Noel is a future bust. No team is trying to trade up for him. Most of the teams talking about trading up are trying to trade up for Oladipo.

No matter who Cleveland takes at #1, we're taking Oladipo. If we trade down, I expect us to take Burke. Trading down for Burke is my #1 desire.

According to this board, it seems like anyone other than McLemore is going against the grain.

Dario Saric has officially withdrawn from the 2013 NBA draft, wow. I love this for us because of the Dallas pick potential here.

McLemore strikes me as a guy that played nice in a system and has a lot to offer. I see that in Harkless and Harris too, guys who at times lose themselves in the moment and try and take over games. Then they quickly get back in line. Over time, they can become stars.

I agree with all of this but isn't the only team that we can trade with Phoenix? Because I'd assume NO would take Burke and so would Sac and detroit if he slipped that far.

How much could Phoenix give up to go from #5 to #2 to make it worth it?

Dr. James Andrews said Kentucky C Nerlens Noel is "several weeks ahead of schedule" on his rehab from a torn ACL. Noel tore his knee up in February. "We're really happy with his progress," Andrews said. "He's improving on a weekly basis. He has a completely stable knee. The bone plugs are completely healed into the bone. His muscle and weight is returning. He has had no setbacks at all." It's been reported that some NBA team doctors have their reservations about Noel's knee, but the Cavs aren't thought to be one of them. He remains the most likely No. 1 overall pick even though a major 2013-14 impact isn't likely.

I don't see that at all. I see a ton of pro-Oladipo people and a handful of pro-Burke people to go along the McLemore crowd. There is even a Noel bandwagon that is mostly comprised of people from the previous 3 groups but think we can't get him due to him being gone at 2.

I don't see our pick as a shock if we pick Noel, McLemore, Oladpido or Burke. Even Porter or Bennett wouldn't be a huge surprise as both are top-5 talents. Anyone outside of those 6 would be a major stretch. (All this is assuming we pick 2 and don't trade down ofc)

That's a good question. But trading down to 5 is not really a huge risk. Even if another team like SAC or DET jumps up to 4 and snatches Burke for example. So long as we have 5 guys we really like then the risk it minimal. Porter is certain to go before 5. The 4 we would be choosing from would be Oladipo, McLemore, Noel and Burke. So when you say, "What's the risk of moving from #5 to #2?" Well, no matter who is taken with the first 4 picks, we should still get a guy who could've easily gone to us at #2.

The real knuckle ball is if Rob loves Michael Williams Carter as his #1 target.

Well that's only one knee...what about the other knee? Unstable as all hells, I'm sure....
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

What timing. I guess someone called his agent this morning and he said he was pulling out. I'd want to stay in Croatia too, can't blame him. He'll be here next year though. Wonder if someone like Dallas can convince him to put his name in there and tell him they'll sign off on him staying in Croatia another year?

It's to Cleveland's benefit for others to think they might take Noel, Porter and McLemore. Gets people below them panicky and more willing to be pillaged in a trade.

Ellis just turned down a 2 year extension. I'm sure they're loving this. He's got an ETO this coming season, wonder if he takes it, or waits for a longer extension. It was going to pay 36 mil for 3 years which seems fairly reasonable.
