Len is 1b on my board, behind Oladipo

Technically, that would probably make Len #2 on your draft board. If you had them rated the same, they would be 1a and 1b.

I still think people are overrating Oladipo's shooting and underrating Mclemore's potential. Either way, I prefer both of them to a one-way 2-guard who will cost more money. If we do sign someone from this Free Agent class to play the SG, I really hope its not to a bloated contract. There is no one worth big money on the market.

I'm not sure anyone is overrating Oladipo's shooting. that is the one negative that everybody brings up. I personally think his other positives outweigh that but that's just me. I agree with the rest of your post.

Ya Ive thought and thought about Oladipo or Mclemore. I think Wolves fans want Oladipo becasue he is more of a sure thing than anything else. You know we had Flynn and Johnson that ended up being busts, but if we get Oladipo we know he has a hard work ethic and that has shown improvement each season in college. So even if he ends not being able to shoot very well, we still get a blue collar player that we have longed for. Mclemore on the other hand, IMO think has more overall potential but I dont know anything about his work ethic. Ya I think a lot of people do forget about Mclemores potential but like you said either way you cant really go wrong with either.

But if Oladipo turns out to be a bad shooter, then we have 3 bad shooters as starters at positions 1, 2 and 3. We will basically be playing inside except when Love plays pick n pop with Rubio. We've seen this season what happens then: teams start packing the paint in the 2nd half and we can't score a single point in long stretches. But, anyway, it seems that Flip is going for Mayo, so I'm at peace.

Regarding Mclemore, just seen a comment about the last good player to come from Kansas was Paul Pierce.
Also the mock has Len going at 5, hope that not the case if we decide no to trade up.

It may not be a credible source all the time but there is nothing wrong with it. It brings variety which is important because often times drafts go in a completely opposite directions that 'experts' predicted.

Actually some of them are journalists... you can go ahead and look up Arif Hasan. He writes for the Vikings B/R and for the Daily Norseman. He is a great and knowledgeable journalist. Just because I don't always follow Chad Ford doesn't mean the mock draft is bad. Not to mention reliability does not really make a huge difference in a mock draft. Common sense, yes, 'reliability' not always.

If you cite it to show Oladipo's stock is riding, yeah I got something wrong with that. My 6 year old kid brother (if i had one) could have a mock draft that has Oladipo going #1, but I wouldn't share that here either.

Thanks but there mock drafts are not all that different from the 'experts'. I had no idea that Chad Ford also had Oladipo going 2 in a recent draft but just because they are fans doesnt mean they dont know anything. Maybe I phrased my comment wrong. I didn't cite it to show that his stock was rising, that was an observation, I cited it to show that someone had him going at number 2 to the Magic, which I had not seen before, my apologies.

Pretty sure the magic are gonna get MCelmore or Burke. They need 3 point shooting.

But if i were them i would wait next year to get a PG. With Marcus smart, the harrison brother, and dante exum 2014 has much better pgs.

Probably, but that does mean there exactly alike and that all the meanings for each selection is the same. And if they are based on the experts than they are basically just as credible...
All Im saying is that all drafts are very unpredictable and it doesn't hurt to have a bunch of different viewpoints.

Mocks aren't how good you think a prospect is, they are about projecting what will actually happen on draft night. For example, DX has there own top 100 prospects page(Len is #1) which is obviously what they think of prospects and then the actual mock which is assembled using information gathered from scouts/executives and taking into consideration team needs and team directions. Most experts are pretty clued up about where franchises see players, amateurs? not so much.

Okay, so yes BR writers are fans first while some are journalists and I didnt use it as 'breaking news' so I dont see the problem... As I mentioned earlier, if mock drafts like the one BR uses are based on Chad Ford's then there is not really a big credibility difference.
