Late last night the offices of Los Angeles-based independent game studio Robotoki were stormed by the Los Angeles Police Department after a curious designer pressed the building's "panic" button, studio founder Robert Bowling told Polygon.
The 911 response ended in a tense showdown with a life-sized statue of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Simon "Ghost" Riley, which the police mistook for a gunman.

Re: The OT Thread
Just heard that Houston has not only re-added all of the jobs lost during the last recession, but they've actually exceeded that number significantly. Most major cities have yet to get back 50% of jobs lost during the same time.

One of my friends who works real estate told me that Houston population increased by 8% over the past year and most of them are under 30, so yeah the job market is good!

My dream girl came back this last week
I think I'm in love. Not joking. She has totally lived up to dream girl status. She's hilarious, she's beautiful, she's perfect in just about every manner.
So weird we went to highschool and barely hung out.

People can be very different in highschool. When people remark that so and so hasn't changed since highschool, it's either done in a derisive tone or it was something that was really a good surprise.
I know I was expected to go to school in a different continent and expected highschool to be more of a temporay stage of life than college was (especially since I went to three different schools from the time I was 14 - 18). I find the idea of dating someone from highschool, when outside of highschool, to be a very foreign idea.
But yeah, read this. It's good stuff:

Funny how this comes from Kobe Bryant who's projected to make around $28m next season.

I think the Lakers are in a real quagmire. They are not in a reload year. This is rebuilding time.
