RealGM - Twolves offer:
Minnesota trades Williams (5.0Mil) + 1st Round Pick - 9th overall + 1st Round Pick - 26th overall
for

Orlando's 1st Round Pick - 2nd overall + Al Harrington (3.5Mil)

3.5 Mil non-guranteed portion of Harrington's contract makes this deal legal.

What say you?

Edit: ooopes.........the Twolves have the 9th pick overall, not the 4th.

The Wolves have the 4th pick? Or is this just hypothetical? Regardless, I'd do it. 9th, 26th, and D-Will would be fair imo. If the Magic can get their guy at the 9th, it's a good deal for us.

Flip keeps mentioning how he needs an asset back in a trade to move up in the draft that includes Williams and the 9th. But I don't see how it would work with Orlando unless Flip forgets about useful asset and just takes the Harrington contract as an incentive for Orlando to move back to 9. Twolves need to offer the 26th pick because some other suitor for Orlando's 2nd pick overall is going to offer a 2014 1st round pick..IMO...which the Twolves do not have.

Williams + 9 + 26 is a high price. But Flip mentioned all during the college basketball season as a ESPN anaylyst about how special Oladpio was as a player and he hasn't stopped talking about him since. I think Flip is willing to pay a high price and it looks like Orlando will be the beneficary of Flip's obsession in VO.

ive been saying that for awhile and its why i think they draft Mclemore, makes perfect sense, lebron gets another play maker in Irving, a lethal shooter in Mclemore, a nice 6th man scoring threat off the bench in Waiters, a solid front court (still need to add another big or 2), and some financial flexibility, its better than the washed up heat in a few years

Lebron/Irving/Mclemore/Waiters/Thompson/Varajao/Gee/Miles/Zeller/etc draft and FA

I'm not sure about better, but in general I agree. I'm not sure there's a clear separation between picking second and picking seventh. I know the separation in player quality between #4 and #12 is pretty thin, if at all.

You don't give up assets to move down in a draft. Flip's kidding himself.

Push comes to shove I think Minny trades 9, 26, and Derrick Williams in a heart beat. And if Orlando does that, I bet they buy Dallas's 13 pick and Marion's contract for the tpe and Harrington. So that leaves Orlando with 3 1sts and a 2nd.

Pick 9: Trey Burke or MCW
Pick 13: Shabazz or a big that slides
Pick 26: Tony Mitchell
Pick: 51: Ricky Ledo

That's a draft I'd personally be thrilled with

We will not get that many draft picks. I bet have one pick in the first and one in the second.

I don't think there's a team that would trade a 2014 1st to move few spots in this draft. Unless the 2014 pick is lotto- or Top10-rotected or something.

You could be right. The Twolves in this trade would also have to take the full cap hit on Harrington's 7.1Mil, so the RealGM trade I offered is null n void. There is no way Twolves would offer Williams + 9 + 26 and take full hit on Harrington. ( I thought Twolves would only have to take on 3.5Mil..I was wrong)

The Twolves may not have the assets to make this work so I guess I will get myself prepared for KCP with the #9 for the Twolves.

Report: Bobcats looking to acquire Chris Bosh in trade for No.4 pick. http://cbsprt.co/118PBjW Guess they need a 3-point shooter.

The Charlotte Bobcats are “looking to make a splash” during the offseason and are open to trading their No. 4 overall draft pick in a package for a veteran star, according to The Boston Globe‘s Gary Washburn.

Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh could be a “prime candidate,” according to the report, as there are rumors that the Heat will look to trade Bosh and the Bobcats could take on his near-maximum contract.

“As much as Charlotte would love to build through the draft, team officials understand they have to start winning and need a player to be the face of the franchise. Bosh could serve that purpose,” Washburn writes.

The 29-year-old Bosh will make about $79 million over the next four seasons as part of his six-year, $109.8-million deal. The contract includes an early termination option in 2014 and a player option for the 2015-16 season.

Maryland center Alex Len, Indiana shooting guard Victor Oladipo, Michigan point guard Trey Burke and UNLV forward Anthony Bennett are expected to be in the mix at the No. 4 spot in the June 27 draft.

Let's say this Minnesota deal has legs what combination interests you at #9 and #26?

McCollum+Ledo?
MCW+ Tim Hardaway?

Or do we look at what bigs could be had?
