We most likely won't be bottom 8 so it doesn't matter.

Like someone else already stated in this thread....

I do this if McLemore is still on the board.

Oladipo??? Maybe....its possible Oladipo falls to #8 though

This is just another reminder of how idiotic the Gordon deal was. Not for Mr.Gore it wasn't. Charlotte payed 13 Mil for that pick! If Mr Gore wants to purchase a pick in 2014 it will only cost him 3mil that a Capital investment of 10mil Now, who.s the idiot?

Would you guys trade the 8th pick to us this year instead of next year?

Next years draft is supposed to be better and that would leave you more capspace for free agents.

Only one opinion but yes... unless a good trade offer came in.

No. The pick is protected next year. We'll likely keep it. We need to worry about the next next year tho, we could possibly give the LoLCats a top 3 pick.

Its protected next season too, right? How much protection is there? Top-8?

I'd do this trade in a second.

If we get McLemore (hell, even if we don't) we're in the playoffs next year. We will be giving them out pick no matter what, so let's move up in the draft!

As for the Gordon trade, what it comes down to is comparing what Charlotte gets in the draft next year with out pick versus what we get in Free Agency this year. I think we come out ahead on the deal and we're all glad Gordon is off the team.

Yeah, we could even add English for good measure.

It was lotto protected this year, next year it's top 8 protected and the year after is top 1 protected after that it's unprotected. How dumb can Joe D be?

if mclemore/oladipo falls to the bobcats and we take a wait and see approach to see if they take either of them. if they dont take either of them and go with someone else then we dont trade the pick because one is bound to fall to us.

if one gets picked (lets just say mclemore) then we take a wait and see if the other falls (oladipo)

if the other falls we dont trade the pic and draft him

if the other gets taken then we offer our pick and the rights to unprotect the 2014 pick for mclemore and call it a day

There is nobody at #4 that would be a top 15 pick in 2014.
