Are the Wolves really going to deal DWill to move up?

Shooting over 50% isn't something every player does, especially early on in their career. No one is saying Williams is some star or piece we cant part with but it would be silly to think he isn't capable of reaching 18 and 8 on decent percentages. He has shown that he is capable so the potential is there.

Kevin Love's TS is significantly better on a much bigger volume.

Okay, so how is this relevant to Derrick Williams and the amount of potential and value he has for the Wolves? Never said he was a superstar and even though he was the 2nd pick in the draft, its obvious he is not on the level of Lebron James and Kevin Durant and no one expects that of him.

derrick has improved a good amount each year, he seemed to improve game after game. rmbr before college he wasnt even ranked in the top 100 but became one of the top prospects through hardwork and constant improvement. this is one of the reasons why we drafted him, because of his high character. We have also asked him to learn how to play a whole new position in the nba.

I believe he will keep improving year after year because thats the type of guy he is, whether he is with us or not.

Huh? He doesn't do anything else but score inefficiently. He doesn't rebound above average, he doesn't make plays for others, or play defense. He's Beasley-esque.

My opinion is that D. Will has a real chance to develop into a fine NBA player. It just won't be with the Timberwolves. With Kevin Love back and Cunningham off the bench (who Adelman absolutely loves), what minutes is he getting? A trade benefits him tremendously and probably us too if it helps us move up in the draft or get a quality 2 guard

Well Love and LBJ put up more numbers so if D.Will put up bigger numbers there would be no issue. I could see him improving that 15/6 to 18/8 easily.

True, but Kirilenko's decision also has a huge impact, as Adelman has started him at the SF position and even if he doesnt start he is second behind Budinger.

This is a little unfair. DWill is inefficient, but he learns. Beasley is an inefficient sweetheart who can't learns.

Wolves get their 3-D guy and a pick in 2014. Could also use the 29th pick with the 26th to move up to grab guys like Ledo
