Caldwell-Pope continues to one of the htoter name in the draft.... I'm hearing the Wolves, especially, are enamored with Caldwell-Pope, and he's the sleeper at No. 9. The Wolves desperately need shooting in their backcourt, and I heard his workout in Minnesota was terrific.

I strongly agree. Strongly.
Me too. Muscala at 26 would be a great choice. A KCP/Muscala draft would leave me pretty happy.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Muscala is one of my top choices at 26 if we don't go big at 9, along with Nogueira and (farther down) Withey

Re: Pre-Draft Thread / Workout Updates
I'm really hoping to see Gorgui Dieng dropping, but that is rather unlikely. I have Gobert falling to us in my mock, even though I'm not the biggest fan of him. He would suit us perfectly though, with enormous length and being a prime target for lobs from Rubio.
Most of all, I want us to go for Ledo at 26. I think he can be a really special talent, and as a SG nowadays, you need to have some handles. That's why I think while this draft may provide good depth at SG, not many good starters/star 2s will come out of it. I'm a bit unsure about KCP for our #9 and I really like McCollum, but hearing that KCP had a great workout with us and Flip is constantly emphasizing how many PGs we have and that we need size on SG, I'm pretty sure we'll go with KCP.
I hope we manage to trade up for Oladipo and pick Ledo at #26. Would be a great 2-punch at shooting guard. Back up big can be addressed in free agency. I like Brandan Wright as backup C. Mozgov is also an opportunity with the Russian connection we currently have.

Actually I don't know why I'm laughing. I'm getting a little depressed that the dream of drafting Oladipo is slipping away.
Flip is not going to take on extra money to make the Magic happy.
Derrick Williams is not the PnR -Stop N Pop stretch 4 the Wizards want.
The Bobcats are delusional in what they want...or at least their fan base is....jeeesh.
Slipping into my annual Twoves Draft depression....

Yeah I wouldn't mind going SG with both picks.
#9 (plus D.Will): McLemore, Oladipo
#9: McCollum, KCP
#26: Ledo, Crabbe, Karasev, Snell, Bullock, Rice Jr.

Glad to hear that. He has a weird name, he's black so we gain much needed 10 Obama points, and if he becomes so good that we start worshiping him, we can just call him The Pope.

Oladipo would be worth like 3 black players

KCP has size, can shoot and it seems like he has a good work ethic/attitude. I'm glad he's there at #9. If nothing else, it means teams can't squeeze us mercilessly as we try to move up.

There are some murmurs that the Cavs might go for something other than Noel, i.e Porter. If that is the case and Wizards are left with just Anthony Bennett, I think they might be intrigued in a Williams+#9 type of deal. Maybe even Seraphin/Vesely could be part of the deal if they get one of our backup PGs?

Re: Pre-Draft Thread / Workout Updates
DX tweaked their mock again today. Ledo bumped up into the 1st round at no. 30 and Snell got pushed back into the 2nd. Ledo, Muscala and Karasev are the main guys I want at 26 right now.
They have us taking Tony Mitchell at 26. Not excited for a guy who regressed in every aspect of his game this year.

Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Warming a bit to the thought of KCP as well. Compared him to Terrence Ross, and they seem pretty similar. Ross isn't a half-bad prospect in the NBA at SG, I even remember trying to find ways for us to trade for him earlier in the season. When looking at his scouting report I found this little tidbit posted in the comments section 11 months ago:
After watching this video and then watching the Andre Drummond video...im so glad Toronto picked TERRENCE ROSS

Ross was pretty bad statistically this year, being like him wouldn't make me want to draft someone.

Not to say that they want Williams specifically. But he is the type of player that they want.

I've been saying Bullock = Danny Green, but I may take that back after tonight.

I think one of Hardaway, Crabbe, Bullock, Ledo, or Karasev can turn into a Danny Green
Hopefully we can pick the right one if we go SG at 26 like I think we should even if we grab one at 9 to
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
