According to #NFL source, barring a contract restructure or trade, #Packers will be parting ways with ILB Desmond Bishop (@Desbishop55).

He must not be healthy. Otherwise this could be the first move of the TT era that I have a serious problem with. Are we sure someone isn't mistaking Bishop for Hawk?

@TyDunne: been told the Bishop situation is more "numbers game"-related than injury-related. They like Hawk and Jones

if this is true, just lol @ Ted.

I don't want to be right about Ted, but....

If it's because he's not healthy it's even worse.

Sends the message that coming off the field due to injury puts your job at risk. Leads to hiding concussions and other injuries.

Greg Bedard on twitter, "Packers will release Bishop, but keep Hawk. Uh, ok.”

^Bedard is an idiot. Never liked him.

@TyDunne: Just touched base with Desmond Bishop. Says he is "completely" healthy. #packers

^ (to be fair, I doubt he'd say if he was indeed unhealthy, just passing along what I've read)

Irrelevant because Bishop says he's totally healthy. Really don't get this. We must be making some big scheme changes.

:-?

He didn't come off the field because of something you can hide. His hamstring was shot.

As for staying on the field when you're concussed or you have a minor injury (not saying a concussion is minor, just easier to fake), it happens every week. Players know it. This wasn't one of those cases.

I don't know why he's being released. My guess is it's speed and scheme related. Guys like him aren't really worth paying bigger money to anymore.

For better or worse I see another one of our players landing on the Vikings.
