Re: roy rogers
Well i don't know the inner workings of how the team works at training and all that, but i think it's safe to say Rogers helped Monroe and Drummond develop in a big way and they were both very found of him.
I think it's **** that he left, but with a new head coach coming in there's no guarantee that he would have had a spot so he looked elsewhere.
Hopefully Joe finds a suitable replacement because Monroe and Drummond are the future of this team and they need the right people around them to help them.

Re: roy rogers
I think lambier would be a awesome choice, and I know I say this alot when it comes to bill but with how kevin love prised him,and as a player himself.I think greg/dre would learn to be more asertive, gritty, and thats also an important part to being a big man and that style bill can definitly teach.I also think he would be a good presence in the locker room.

Re: roy rogers
It's hard to say.
Word is Lambier can be a real a$$hole, and that may not mesh with Drummond IMO>
Drummond seems a little immature, and given he's only 19 that makes sense. He seems like a hard worker, but i'm not sure if his mental toughness can stand up to Lambiers assholery.
He could teach them a lot though, so i guess we'll see

Laimbeer completely changed Kevin Love's career for the better.
He was his own personal coach instructing Love during practices and especially before every game.
Look at the season before Laimbeer worked with Love and the season during his time with Bill. It's like watching two different players. Love's rebounding numbers definitely increased and his toughness inside did as well.
Bill is exactly what a soft ass punk like Monroe needs.
I am not worried about Drummond's maturity level at all in regards to dealing with Laimbeer.
Cheeks would be smart to focus his personal coaching efforts on Knight and whomever we draft and let a Pistons legend like Laimbeer handle the boys down low... too bad Dumars is too big of a p*ssy to hire a friend (his go to excuse when asked why he hasn't brought in Isiah or Bill)

That's Kevin Love not Bill.

I have heard nothing from Kevin Love in any interview that has given Lamb credit for helping him develop. I think Kevin Love is just immensely talented and saying Lamb completely changed Love's career is the most exaggerated statement I have heard in a long time. Even if Lamb did have a positive effect on Love, I find it kind of hard to believe that no other coaching staff has hired him as an assistant other than Rambis.
