Yanks (37-26) @ Oakland A's (38-27): Party at Jose's House

Hard to believe the PED explosion started with the Bash brothers and spread through out the league from Oakland of all places...even after Canseco and McGuire left, Jason Giambi and Miguel Tejada continued the legacy. Of course this was unknownst to GM Billy Beane right? He was just trying to make good trades ethically. That's why you never trade with Oakland, more times than not they are used car salesman waiting to do you in.

After that horrific losing streak, the Yanks seem to have it together again. This series will be another test for them. I can't wait to see Pineda called up because I don't like the uncertainty of Phil Hughes' control problems, Pettitte is always one pitch away from the DL, and Phelps is still just a kid with #5 stuff. So putting another quality arm between CC and Kuroda can be the difference of 10-15 wins.

The other half of that component is an offense that needs Jeter to milk the count and more power/pressure from Granderson.

I still think Girardi needs to stop meddling with the line up. Tex is perfect in the #3 slot with Cano #4. Here is my projected line up if Joe G should settle...

CF Gardner
SS Jeter
DH Teixiera
2B Cano
RF Granderson
LF Wells
1B Youkalis
3B Nix
C Stewart

Ichiro seems to have hit a wall. rotate him around the OF.

How's that offense working out Cashman? Loved Wells but disturbed by the # of pitches he's taking. Rushing it and hurting the team.

Boy, the Yanks can't take advantage of the A's blunders.

Well...that's as hurtful as a baseball ending could get for a Yankee fan.
