I would have loved to made it to the ECF but I was on call. Still the Pacers have become a very easy team to root for because the way they play reminds me so much of the 04 Pistons. I know I am still here Pharoah, its just that the regular season is too painful to post at times. Sadly there are often common sense moves we don't make (like the Dallas pick we won't trade for) that frustrate me too much,

Agree that the last 4-5 years have been painful...

I wanted Joe fired/promoted/retired as soon as the season ended. Obviously that's not happening so all I can do is hope we make smart moves this off-season.

IMO it can go one of 2 ways:

1 = Pretend we're going to make a huge impact in the Playoffs next season: This would mean going all out and over-paying Iguodala or someone else with a name... selling him + Cheeks + #8 + development of Monroe, Drummond and Knight to the fanbase

2 = Take the longer view and realise we need to be aiming for 2-3 years down the road when our bigs, Knight and #8 will be better for the experience. This would mean taking on Marion's contract in order to get #13 and would also mean making some much smaller signings (Dorell Wright, maybe Eric Maynor) all with the goal to actually be a quality team 2-3 years from now

I'd rather take a long view... but understand that people who live in Detroit and surrounding areas are sick and tired of watching this epic fustercluck. That's the advantage of living in Oz... I don't have to watch any games I don't want to, since I still have to download Piston games so I can view the situation without any real emotional attachment

Well I can remember listening on my 8 transistor radio in 1967 on WJR (annoying static during inclement weather). Remember Dave Bing being drafted.

Age: 20

I'm a college student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. My favorite player is Ben Wallace because he's someone I could relate to. Been following the Pistons since 2001.
